No, on a serious note, imagine Nigeria brings a case against Igboho and Judge in Benin Republic rules that: "sorry we can't hand him over because he was wrongly accused." Mehn! that is disgrace for Nigeria. Big brother status lost, and that may be it for life.

Nigerian government is not filing anything because they love the show.

They are pressuring the government of benin to give him the maximum charge, they are no more concerned about extradition because they want the case to be benin rather than in Nigeria where his fanbase plus political pressure are.

A very smart move by the Nigerian government

Very, very smart.

Thank you.

The president and his team are one step above all these noise makers.

The lawyers of igboho just spend all their time confusing people instead of learning from history and strategizing.

How not filing cases amount to strategy? Kindly explain.

SW media propaganda machine backfiring big time cool grin

They have been spreading the lie that Igbohoe is being tried because FG wants him extradited because of the crimes he committed in Nigeria.

Thank goodness the truth has come from the Benin court itself that he's being tried and is caged in Cotonou Prison for the crime committed in Benin Republic which is clearly the passport forgery charge against the misguided criminal. cool

Well done AGF Malami (SAN) & Amb. Buratai cool

The FG is deliberately withholding filing their case for extradition to allow Igbohoe to be grilled by the Benin justice system where he risks up to 21 years for his crime against their country - apparently criminal forgery of their Passport.

They already chained and threw him in prison before his people protested and the chains were removed and then threw him into another Prison where he is right now as we speak cheesy

Meanwhile the FG is effectually getting rid of the Igbohoe menace with minimal effort while avoiding the political pressure from the SW that would've been an issue if he was detained, tried and sentenced here in Nigeria.

Beautiful and effective strategy. You don't mess with educated Fulani.

You got charms and some dollars in your account doesn't mean you can joke with the sovereignty of a country.
You can address issues you believe are
affecting your people without inciting violence.
Constitute a pressure group to keep all elected public officials from your region on their toes. Then you can always be remembered as a freedom fighter and a true patroit.

Why should government file extradition case in republic of benin when the government is pressuring the government of republic of benin to give Igboho the maximum penalty for his crime.

If Igboho is in benin court, it is better for the government of Nigeria.

My thoughts is, Nigeria have make the necessary enquiries about the case and the possible punishment immediately they ware told he was arrested.

Nigerian have nothing to do with him, just wanted to cool off the tension of Odudua Nation.

And since he has been arrested in Benin, the tension is down and they prefer him to be there and battle with them.

Nigerian aim and objectives achieved...

NB: Simply my thoughts and I support none of them but peace

People like to carry fake news in Nigeria.
Henceforth, only what his lawyer says should be regarded.

Logistically, the government of Nigeria has destroyed any protest.

Nnamdi kanu case is better than igboho who is in another country, atleast the government can now only concentrate on Nnamdi kanu while they leave Benin to deal with igboho. grin

Procedure is that he will be extradited to Nigeria first after which his statement will be taken at police station closer to his resident then his case will be transferred to police headquarters for further investigation and eventually he will be charged to districts court he will be remanded at correctional facility depending DPP advice then State will take over his case in the process AGF will take over from there he would have spent above two year in facility.

Buhari and his Fulani supporter of APC are gradually making Sunday Igboho Popular and Mighty by the day. Same way they made Nnamdi Kanu popular and Powerful.

I thought the lawyer said Nigeria did not file any case of any kind against igboho?
