why instead the regional countries find a way to capture flood water from the surrounding regions, example i jnow for sure that theres flooding going on in katsina right now, that apart the lake chad also looses waster via flooding, while cant they look for a way to solve this flooding menace by daming the lake flood water during rainy seasons and release them back ino the lake during dry season?

Go and read the post again you block head, the committee has opened a bid for a contract to refill the lake with water by water transfer,am sure your blocked brain can't come to terms with this.
Water transfer from a river to a lake is not rocket science, it's been done before.

Why is it crap?... defend your statement. The lake is like a container .... there is nothing that can be done to the container to increase the water in it. The source of the water is what should be looked at. ... how to replenish the lake. Is there deforestation in the highlands?... is water in the upper parts of the river diverted? ... is it climate change which is natural? Why the need to spend on foreign consultants?... is this really rocket science?.. beyond us?

Naturally there are two Rivers that empty into Lake Chad. They are the Chari and Logone Rivers. The issue is that due to evaporation the river is not emptying the full capacity of it's discharge to the Lake that is why the lake is dying in addition to desertification. The plan is to divert the water from the River Ubangui(One of the tributaries of the Chari river) into the Chari River so the discharge will flow into Lake Chad thereby increasing the Volume of the Lake. The Ubangui River is one of the tributaries of the River Congo which is the largest river by water volume. So for me it is a wise choice.
