Jacobx007, you didn't understand the news; at least this news didn't tell us that they did steroids.

Instead, those Nigerians were banned because they failed to do the required tests before the games. The test would show that they were qualified for Tokyo Olympics.

The people in charge of this team (management) should have known this and conducted the test before the games. This is so embarrassing.

With such blatant integrity issues, I'm sure they bribed their way to be selected.

The rule is too harsh. It puts the burden of proof of innocence on the national teams.

In addition, the categorization aspect of the rule creates a kind of sports apartheid.

I can bet my last bag of garri that the Nigerian Olympic committee was given millions of dollars for out of competion testing of athletes and also they took money from federal goverment to do same testing but here comes the breaking news... That is despite all this money received no testing was done and money is gone... I will bet my last bag of Beans on this too.

Meanwhile, weeks ago billions was proposed by our Senators for presidential and what have you expences during elections. But to fund sporting activities in the country to standard is not of importance to them.

As I’ve always said, disorganisation is at the foundation of much of Nigeria’s failings. Even the article wasn’t organised enough – it didn’t provided names of affected athletes.
