Why not suspend the program with the spate of killings and insecurity in the country now. We could use the military resources drafted to those NYSC camps to tackle insecurity instead of saddling them with camp responsibilities.

Schools have closed down in Northern States so what would they be doing in North.

You are very insensitive. Those deaths could have been avoided if those people were not posted to a state far from their states of residence. The accident happened around 1-2 AM. Who in his right senses would want to embark on a journey at that time of the night? Bros, NYSC is largely to be blamed for their deaths.

I was also posted to the Katsina from Ogun state but for my safety, I decided not to go for now. Travelling by road to such a dangerous zone is a huge risk. Na God dey protect person but we still have to apply wisdom where it is needed.

They should kukuma stop this nonsense.

its not travelling it's the rush..maybe due to rush d driver was travelling for the 3rd time in 2 days and he slept off while driving..some of these transport company wait for nysc periods to cash out.they even put bad vehicles on the road when all vehicles are loaded.i wont mention the name of the travelling company then night journey too

I also served in Mai’adua Local Govt, Katsina. I’ve never experienced high robbery in life but I did on my way to this stupid/nonsense called NYSC
I can’t also recall the numbers of corpers that died while servicing, some drowned from heavy flood from rainfall, some died from illness and some disease. Of which, they applied for redeployment but were refused
It’s now 9years after service without job, so what’s the essence of NYSC if not for sacrifice of lives for their selfish and devilish interest

Whenever I wanna travel by pub,if I no be nos 1 or number 5. I won't enter cos I won't sleep and my eyes go fey driver speedometer with steering control. Imagine the idiot at passengers side sleeping. Driver sef sleep for steering. Extra bonus fatigue leads to death esp behind wheels
Never sleep,even if all passengers don sleep,dey awake dey monitor movement. U can dose off for 10mins but don't forget,your eyes na eyes of driver. It's been working for me for years,before the day I travel by pub transport,i must make sure I sleep at least 9hrs .max 8pm to 5am I don wake. E no get how sleep wan catch me again. Above all,na God get power. The day I travelled from Abuja to calabar,na good 11 hrs I dey for road,driver saved us by swerving to the right due to top speed and loss of control from incoming vehicle,this was like 2010. When I got down,I was still in shock cos me I dey back seat. If the driver hadn't swerved to the left,na head on collision at 145kph at around 8.30pm. Aktc o. That time I never knew aktc na death trap. But na God

They post people anyhow without considering the means to get there, if Fg want people to go to North then, there should be respective Transport heavily guarded by the Army to take them there. Nigeria doesn't value their youth talk more of the graduate among them.
I told my friend to get a reliable person and sort his way to his favorite state but to explore was his reason to allow Nysc to allocate to any state they feel like, now they have posted him to Taraba. His transport only will cost 20k whereas he could have gotten direct transfer for 35k
