these things na luck.. I have seen a phone fall from two storey building and the screen guard had a slight cracks, the phone screen remains intact. And I have seen someone sat on his phone and both screen guard and phone screen was shattered.. Life no balance

if yet to unlock your bootloader or suggest unlock even without root. Download java on your PC. Google Redmi 7a debloat software (version 20 and above -just around 20mb), run in with your phone connected via USB debugging and select your desired apps to be removed...... You are done. Better still, root your phone, flash Dots OS based on Android 11. I swear, you will forget buying another phone and hate MIUI 12 for life.

Sometimes it could be that your phone fell from a height or maybe just pure luck. Irrespective of how you screen got bad , screen protectors still help to protect the screen

I use VPNs and I don't notice this behaviour. Infact I have slept off with my VPN running all through the night and it didn't close off?
