It's now pointless to reach out to an MP with the way they're bombarded for intervention request by study permit applicants.

Thanks a lot!

Oyesquare10:

I am really amazed with the way agents are playing with people's Carrier. They know the implication of charge back and yet they do it.
It's really sad.
Please pay the money again but yourself this time. You can open a domiciliary account, fund it and pay through it or through a family member (close one please) that has a domiciliary account.
I also learnt on this group that you can send a letter explaining that you had to pay the initial one that was charged back through a third party because of the $100 limit on Nigeria card

DO NOT PAY THROUGH THE AGENT AGAIN!

Good day everyone, please I have two questions when applying for spousal open work permit:

1. Does the student need to show any proof of accommodation? Or just having the proof funds is sufficient.

1. If the student needs to show proof of accommodation, is it okay to present one even if it's a shared apartment?

Thanks in advance for your response

An escrow won't come to an applicant rescue when a chargeback occurs and given a 5 year ban by the Canadian authorities. Like I said, you're not worth the risk. No one is!!!

Hello everyone!

My father is my sponsor, can my company where i currently work be added as a co-sponser?(not my family coil though)

Also, the company is willing to give me some dollars just out of kind gesture, from the Chairman's purse himself, i guess it will be in cash, can he just state it in his letter of recommendation from him to me, that he gave me some money?, not lumpsum though.
Or should he transfer in naira to show the funds and provide gift deed for it, or it's not even necessary?

Is Covid test free, generally?

OCT202020:

I think it means any form of online studies before an individual's visa approval won't count when applying for post graduate work permit. In other word, it's going to be prorated.

And those with an approved visa who's completed their studies right from their home country, are eligible for pgwp corresponding to their years of study.

Thanks

That's why it's not advisable to start an online classes without approval.

Hey guys,

First Application (NSE): Applied 27th Oct 2020 and Refused 25th Apr 2021.
Second Application. (reapplied without GCMS notes so as to beat the 15th May Deadline)
13th of May: Submitted
1st June: Eligibility Review: Started
14th June: Medical passed

13th July: Received GCMS note for the first refusal and sent a follow-up letter to IRCC on July 14th

PS: I’ll be dropping my checklist soon in case someone needs that info.

It's a public forum, which means he also has the right to post his views on here. Just as you have the right to do the same.

But if you guys keep dragging this on, this thread will be polluted, and what's the point.

PPR just dropped.

Funny thing is I applied this month, and it's a reapplication.

Previous refusals were purpose of visit and home tie.

So I made some very serious adjustments in my reapplication. I submitted more documents to prove my family tie and explained copiously in my SOP.

The purpose of visit concerns must have been entered in error because I had very good academic/career progression, so I stressed on that, albeit politely.

As for home tie, that's pretty personal and can't share that here with you.

The most important thing is that I did a lot of explaining. I think I wrote like three different LOEs. I also attached a lot of documents as evidence.

But here is the thing, there are many ways of compiling an application. And what works for me may not work for the other person.

I wish you all the best.

Sorry about this. Quickly get a trusted person to pay on your behalf or if you know someone with a dollar card of any Nigerian Bank to meet deadline. I also will advise you send a main to Her Majesty's Police yo report the agent.

PLEASE TREAT AS URGENT

IRCC just messaged me and told me that I have a debt of 235 dollars.

that I need to pay this before they continue with my application.

how do I approach this?

what do I do?

Gurus please I need your counsel...does calling someone in Canada to quickly pay affect my application in anyway?

NB I used an agent when I applying.... He made the payments.

Lol.. Thanks bro. My first refusal came on a weekend.

Reason for Refusal: Finance.

GCMS: I had a govt scholarship from Nig but the state govt didn't state the exact amount being offered in the award letter. So VO had concerns about availability of fund and also noted I didn't attach my salary account, so VO said I didn't show history of personal funds.

PS: however little the balance, attach your salary account Stmt.

Hi,

You don't need to show any proof of accommodation. The major thing that needs to be seen is the availability of funds.

You can upload your accommodation agreement with your school, more often than not, it doesn't show if it's a shared accommodation or not.

The bottom-line is showing the funds are avaliable.

I think you'll be required to show your 14 days quarantine plan. Which essentially implies proof of accommodation were isolation is possible. You might be exempted from quarantine but the plan must be in place. Here is what some from a WhatsApp group said to me "Get somewhere you'll stay at least for 2 to 3 weeks. When you get here you aggressively look for a place. Check kijiji.ca almost everything you want to find here is like kijiji.ca".

NB: You might consider Airbnb instead of an hotel for the first 2-3 weeks.
