Thank you so much for your response. Appreciate!

Hello house, greetings to everyone. Please I wish to ask if it's compulsory to take the IELTS test, as the University I applied with stated Nigerians on their English test waiver list. Please, can the gurus help a brother? Thanks in advance

1. Four months is stated on IRCC website but 6months is widely used. You'll be fine with either. However if you going through NSE, it has to be 6 months statement with 12months banking history

2. This is dependent on your tuition fee. $10,000 for single person as living expenses +$5,000 (second person)+$4,000 (third person). This is what you need after removing your tuition fee.

3. I will strongly advise you not to apply with your family if you do not have strong economic establishment here in Nigeria.

4. True, but the relationship must be well established and you'll also need to prove to the VO why a family member or friend will be ready to spend their hard earned on you

.Oney
Self explanatory. Thank you my brother

IELTS is not compulsory for Canada admission and Visa application.

Although, IELTS is only compulsory when you want your visa application to be processed under the NSE route.

PLEASE TREAT AS URGENT

IRCC just messaged me and told me that I have a debt of 235 dollars.

that I need to pay this before they continue with my application.

how do I approach this?

what do I do?

Gurus please I need your counsel...does calling someone in Canada to quickly pay affect my application in anyway?

NB I used an agent when I applying.... He made the payments.

You can pay with dollar card in Nigeria. I paid mine too with my dollar card and I also paid for a friend.

I think you'll be required to show your 14 days quarantine plan. Which essentially implies proof of accommodation were isolation is possible. You might be exempted from quarantine but the plan must be in place. Here is what some from a WhatsApp group said to me "Get somewhere you'll stay at least for 2 to 3 weeks. When you get here you aggressively look for a place. Check kijiji.ca almost everything you want to find here is like kijiji.ca".

NB: You might consider Airbnb instead of an hotel for the first 2-3 weeks.

Thanks a million. I appreciate

Yes you are right, not all colleges have this required field on their application portal, reason why I emphasized on Colleges under Ontario Colleges

ONTARIO College is a body that consists of the likes of Cambrian , Conestoga, St. Clair college etc. If you want to apply to the above colleges, e.g Cambrian College, they don't have a direct application portal, you have to go to the Ontario College International Application portal to apply (Ontariocolleges.ca). On that website they have a Column for Supporting Documents.

Am not sure if you can do the bolded (as mentioned), it depends on the school if you can, it might not apply to all schools, you can make enquiry from the school if you can

e.g

In the place they asked for Transcript (in.PDF file) you can merge your Transcript together with your Cover Letter, resume using the likes of ilovepdf to merge the documents into one PDF file

Okay LekiBoBoe I think that make sense.
Thanks and Happy Weekend.

Both are correct. You can submit 4 months and 6 months (for NSE)

No 2.
.
10m for a family of three! Nah! for a family of two, you will need nothing less than 15m (tuition + living expense). Also, the amount needed is also a function of the school, province, class of degree, and duration of the course ( first clear this out). But 10 million cannot be enough even though it's a year plus tuition and two people for most provinces.

No 3
If you are going with your family, your home ties must be 'crazily' solid! Since there are no landed properties, an economic home ties will suffice such as family business, contractual business, etc. Take this seriously.

No 4.

Yes, you can be sponsored by a close family. However, being sponsored by a friend is tricky and needs a solid explanation as to why and how this will happen. Based on the profile mentioned, it will be unwise to sponsor a family. At least, have more than half of the funds and could get the balance via sponsorship.

Thanks bro I appreciate you

Hi Honorable Ajiboye,

While you await the response of the gurus.

Based on your Work Experience, you can go for a PG.Cert program in either Marketing, Business management or accounting.

But you need to do thorough research on the courses (course outlines) you gonna be doing In any of the above program, and make sure some of them relates to your WORK EXPERIENCE as a Sales Rep. Doing this would enable you to give cogent reasons and be able to convince a Visa Officer why you are going for the program on your SOP.

Also for your admission , supporting documents is very essential e.g Cover letter & a Canadian Style Résumé, cos your HND Transcript is all about your MATHEMATICS & STATISTICS degree, but your Cover letter & Canadian Style Résumé would give information about your Job experience, detailing why the Admission committee should find you a best fit for the program you applied for despite being a Mathematics & Statistics graduate.

That being said, go through the contents in the links below and do your due diligence

Hey guys,

PPR at last.

First Application (NSE): Applied 27th Oct 2020 and Refused 25th Apr 2021.
Second Application. (reapplied without GCMS notes so as to beat the 15th May Deadline)
13th of May: Submitted
1st June: Eligibility Review: Started
14th June: Medical passed

13th July: Received GCMS note for the first refusal and sent a follow-up letter to IRCC on July 14th
30th July: Noticed a missing document in my application which I had declared in my LOE and emailed it to IRCC
31st July: PPR and BVL
Many thanks to my friends Ijeanwuli, Oluwayemisi0507, and of course Boss Frankrobbn who took out their time to review my LOE and follow-up letter. And as many as those that are expecting their testimony, God will perfect it IJN, Amen.
PS: I’ll be dropping my checklist soon in case someone needs that info.

Congratulations
U submitted on the 27th October and I did on the 31st , u got rejected in April and today PPR,while I am still hearing waiting and hoping, only to get a request for charge back. I am happy for you

Hi demeure178,

You will eventually renew your passport in Canada close to expiry date. After your program’s completion , you can then apply for pgwp with your new passport. Hope this helps?

Will one year program be enough to apply for pgwp?

Sigh!!! That's unfair

Inasmuch I do defend Visa officers at times due to their workload, this is appalling. Not fair to applicant mental health.

I think I remember you. You posted your GCMS note stating Review Required.

Please on the bottom of the GCMS note, check when it was generated and compare it to when you received the chargeback query. If that of the GCMS note is recent, I feel you need some additional explanation by revalidating your application hence why the review is required if its earlier than the chargeback query & your response to them

Spectro:

It's a public forum, which means he also has the right to post his views on here. Just as you have the right to do the same.

But if you guys keep dragging this on, this thread will be polluted, and what's the point.

PPR just dropped.

Funny thing is I applied this month, and it's a reapplication.

Previous refusals were purpose of visit and home tie.

So I made some very serious adjustments in my reapplication. I submitted more documents to prove my family tie and explained copiously in my SOP.

The purpose of visit concerns must have been entered in error because I had very good academic/career progression, so I stressed on that, albeit politely.

As for home tie, that's pretty personal and can't share that here with you.

The most important thing is that I did a lot of explaining. I think I wrote like three different LOEs. I also attached a lot of documents as evidence.

But here is the thing, there are many ways of compiling an application. And what works for me may not work for the other person.

I wish you all the best.
