There was a time I got a contract job in Bayelsa state with a construction company (short term work though). Men I saw life in another dimension entirely. Me that have lived in city all my life, I never knew people can actually leave and survive in such situation.

It was a remote riverine village in Bayelsa State, but the company that took us for the job put us in an house boat with security. But after the days job, we normally go into the community (angala) as it's normally called to interact with them and flow with them too. Nnaa men, see way of life, chai. Fun though but really strange, but to them it's normal. Could u believe they are some grown-up adults there that have never left the community since birth, they have never seen a car b4 or a tared road never. Everything around them it's just river and Creek.

We stay for about 2months plus b4 we delivered the job. Stressful but fun. I really enjoyed the village people so receptive and accommodating. Will love to visit there some time again.
