To my knowlegde, The salutes are correct.
All three force's salute are different due to their independency.
In Nigeria, the theory behind the culture
( difference in salute) goes as;

The Army, with a open palm gesture with the right hand, with fingers close on each other and the middle finger almost touching the hatband or the eyebrow, is mainly to establish trust among personnel that is bad intentions and no weapons hidden up anywhere, and the close fingers representing BROTHERHOOD.

The Air Force, with the palm slightly turn facing the sky at a 45-degree angle is to represent their position of Aircraft at Take-off, to signify they are sky fighters. Also notice most times, their fingers are not always close together? I heard, though unconfirmed, that it allow the passage of wind as the wind grant them passage in the sky too.

The Navy, with the palm facing the ground at a 90 degree angle to the forehead and/or the middle finger touching the hatband or at the side of the eyebrow, the reason behind this is to hide the hands of sailors that get dirty due to oil or grease stains while working on the ship and the fingers closing up is as a result of BROTHERHOOD.

Wow!

First thing, every Nigerian pays tax either directly or indirectly. Second thing, many choose not to pay tax because they know the tax will just be eaten by the oga's at the top. Third, many actually pay tax by force as the agberos at markets and parks forcefully collect tax from drivers, market women and shopkeepers.

We are not the country we are now because we don't pay tax. We actually pay far more direct and indirect tax than we are supposed to, which is something any business man or woman should have known. The 123 billion naira that MC Oluomo's boys are conservatively said to collect every year in Lagos no be chicken feed.

Now, Nigeria is horrible because those who are supposed to impartially enforce the law wickedly and criminally subvert it for their own ends. It's horrible here cos there's nothing like justice, as you can do whatever crime you want and bribe judges and the police to go free. It wouldn't be such a horrible place if the police actually started doing their job, rather than seeing Nigerians as fat sheep they are obliged to shear, kill and eat. It wouldn't be such a horrible place if rogue policemen and corrupt public service personnel and politicians started being violently and urgently weeded out and made to pay for their crimes.

From what I can see, it's like you think everyone here is corrupt, wicked and will do anything for money. A very large percentage are, but not all. You also seem to be blaming the problems of this country all on the populace, that's a myopic view to have. And that's bewildering for a supposed seer.

Modified: and to paraphrase you, an average Nigerian like you who hates the general citizenry is worse than a Fulani herdsman.

A stupid president( leader) is elected by stupid people . A corrupt thieveing president is elected by an equalling teeming populace.

Regarding the tax debate, check and average Nigerians tax( those that manage to pay #50 or 100 naira plus maybe 10 naira to banks) to that of Western worlds.

There is a reason why Lagos is very developed along with Port. Simply because this states don't depend on oyel money but internally Generated revenue. Moreover, don't give excuses of fear of paying tax to criminals. Do ur job as a patriot and pay your tax first

If UGM attacked security personnel, let them face and kill UGM and not arresting and killing armless civilians unnecessary.

Nah the last time I go reply your mention be thism

Are u not aware that UGM don't carry guns all the time. Sometimes they are "armless civilians " until they decide to attack.

Moreover, ur tones screams of- the attack against security personnel is non of ur business - .

Why are u angry when you feel that buhari is meting that same treatment on IGbos.

The DSS found all those arms they said they found in Sunday Igboho house, and they can't prosecute them in weeks, now a judge don say make the DSS release them, yet, you dey here dey ask me senseless questions.

Why are u assuming that DSS sued them over illegal possession of weapon.
Even 8if DSS( with their common silly mistakes ) sued them and they were able to prove that they can legitimately hold guns , does that make them innocent of other crime.

About time! Those dane guns and pump rifles are no match for the AA guns the terrorists use. At least, this would help.

We are currently operating two systems of governance and legal ⚖ framework in the one country.

Civilian JTF are carrying assault rifles and Amotekun, Benue Forest rangers. etc Dane guns and pump actions, etc

In the face of murderous terrorist herdsmen who are killing at will and as if above the law with AK47's.

That's not just a double standard but a constitutional crisis.

We are effectively having not state police but state Militia.

There is a conundrum here.

Is it reasonable to be law abiding in ⚖ LAWLESS SOCIETY where the government has no regard for the RULE OF LAW.

I am familiar with Nigeria judiciary it mirrors our society in many ways, intrinsically corrupt.

i asked for a substantive discourse on the subject the expenditure of $600 million on the 12 A29's looking at alternative options , efficacy and best value. I & FEW OTHERS ARE STILL WAITING FOR YOU

But you prefer to post pictures of soldiers posturing and military hardware like we are adolescents who get excited and fantasize about being combatants.

And when anything is said that doesn't toe the line that PMB is the best thing since sliced bread, you respond with heightened indignation.

You don't substantiate, you make no appraisal you don't counter with facts or figures just your own self birthed opinions based on what , I SAID SO . You are beginning to be like a proxy Lai Mohammed.

In my opinion Samuel Anyanwu is the most authentic, on the ground real time TRUTHFUL contributor here , NO CONTEST. And you wish to attempt to contend with him , but on superficial emotive led bias and prejudice.

There's no competition between both of them.

(Reuters) - A Sudanese court said on Thursday it had sentenced to death six officers in the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces for the 2019 killing of six students who were protesting at economic hardship as civilians negotiated power-sharing with the military.

The prosecution of personnel from the RSF - which is commanded by the deputy head of Sudan's transitional governing body - over these killings and others alleged is seen as a test of the government's commitment to democratisation after decades of autocratic Islamist rule.

In a statement on the convictions of the RSF officers, the civilian court in Elobeid, where the killings occurred, said the defendants broke RSF law and behaved individually, adding "their actions have no relation to the forces they were part of."

It was not immediately known whether the six would appeal against the verdict.

The teenage victims were part of a student protest following the June 3, 2019 killing of dozens of protesters demanding a faster transition to civilian, democratic government after an uprising that toppled veteran President Omar al-Bashir.

At the time of the mid-2019 unrest, military commanders accused protesters of having been infiltrated by militants and that they had attacked markets and banks. Protest leaders said the demonstrators were peaceful and accused soldiers of shooting "indiscriminately."
