Nwanne you are totally correct. This is the village motorpark called Imo airport but they are never bothered.

Even Chisco and GUO bus terminals at Upper Iweka looks beautiful, modern and classy than this motorpark(Imo airport). Shameless people.

OreMI22:

Nwanne,

Stop running around like a mouse. I don't live in Awka, I live in Raleigh.

Again, I totally support Mystery shopper, Globemoney, and others keeping you rabid goons in check. I don't know why you cannot face your own state and send them pictures of Nelson Mandela ICC in South Africa or ICC in Hong Kong so that they can start something. grin grin grin It is Anambra that has since started and is about to complete its own ICC that you are worried about?

I remember when some of you derided the Anambra Intl. airport as something that will be abandoned and you praised the Ebonyi airport as the state of the art airport that would soon be completed and all that blah blah blah. Today, none of you have posted nor even asked what happened to Ebonyi airport. cheesy

Your new tactic is to send pictures of Heathrow, JFK or Los Angeles Intl airport as what Anambra should have built. Meanwhile your own Abuja Intl. airport is smaller, has less capacity and has only one runway than the small Raleigh-Durham International airport in this small city. Can you at least send the pictures of those airports to Buhari and tell him that Abuja airport needs to be upgraded to at least Raleigh Intl. airport standard? If you think i'm lying about Raleigh airport, see the pics below or just google it!

You should all be ashamed of yourselves for antagonizing governors like Willie Obiano working hard to develop his state and Nigeria by extension, than those governors doing nothing and making Africa the butt of all vicious jokes in the entire world due to its very poor level of development.

Anambra Will Soon Become A Health Tourism Centre - Governor Obiano

By Blessing Uchendu (ABS Reporter)

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has said that his administration is leaving no stone unturned in making the state a national health tourism hub.

Governor Obiano stated this at the 2021 Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Awka Branch, held in Awka.

Declaring the event open, Governor Obiano, represented by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Vincent Okpala, said that his government has made remarkable progress towards attaining global healthcare targets, with notable policies that have helped put the state on the national radar for healthcare breakthroughs

While applauding the NMA Awka Branch for choosing an insightful theme for this year's meeting, the governor applauded the leadership of the association for the relentless service in health care delivery in Anambra State.

On his part, the National President, NMA, Professor Innocent Ujah, represented by the National Treasurer, Dr Eric Anazodo, said that NMA will continue to ensure that members live above board in their medical practice, to enhance quality healthcare services and also charged members to be professional in their practices.

In his welcome address, the Anambra State Chairman of NMA, Dr Jide Onyekwelu, said that the Annual General Meeting is an avenue for all medical practitioners to gather and rub minds with other stakeholders in the health sector, to brainstorm on new developments in health care delivery.

The keynote speaker and NMA Chairman of Abia State, Dr Chimezie Okwuonu, in his speech, said that Nigeria has recorded low results in the area of tissues and organ donation, which he described as important aspect of successful medicine for the extension of human life.

The 2021 Annual General Meeting of the NMA, Awka Branch, was attended by medical practitioners within and outside Anambra State as well as stakeholders in the health care sector.

The AGM featured a minute silence for all the medical practiorners that died in the process of saving lives of those affected by Coronavirus.

The theme of this year's meeting was: Tissues and Organ Donation; Scope, Prospects and Ethical Challenges.

The conference equally had its sub-theme as: Sustaining the Gains of COVID-19 Crises in the Health Sector, the Doctors and the Law: Navigating the Rising Cases of Litigations in Practice

The light-up Anambra campaign is just a special project that has touched me. Even the road in front of my house in my hometown now has functional street lights that come on every night at 7:00 pm!

When I grew up and until very recently, there was not a single streetlight pole with a functional bulb in the entire Anambra state. In fact, only 4 roads in the entire state had street light poles, although the lights did not work. These roads were; (1.) Zik Avenue Awka, (2.) Park road GRA Onitsha (In front of ShopRite), (3.) Awka road Onitsha and (4.) Enugu-Onitsha expressway from Inosi Onira roundabout to Premier Breweries.

I am glad that today, almost every major road in Anambra has functional street lights! This is a quantum leap from where Anambra used to be a few years ago!

Facts. For those still doubting if Obiano is the best Anambra governor ever, remember all the street lights in Anambra today, and all the traffic lights were all bought by Obiano. Anambra didnt have any functioning street and traffic lights until Obiano's tenure.

Anambra State Government has reassured its citizens and other investors of favourable atmosphere for their businesses to thrive.

The Chairman, Anambra State Housing Development Corporation, Honourable Ifeanyi Ibezi, gave the assurance during the inspection of construction of access and internal roads at Green Valley Housing Estate, Awka.

Correspondent, Amaka Chibuzor Okoye reports that while speaking to newsmen shortly after the inspection, Honourable Ibezi, expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done so far on the roads, which he said are fifty to seventy percent completed, and awaiting the ground breaking by the State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano.

Honourable Ibezi disclosed that the Corporation will soon market the Estate online, and called on Ndi Anambra and others to invest, in order to achieve objectives of the think-home philosophy of the present administration.

He commended Governor Obiano for the plans initiated in ensuring that Ndi Anambra have an affordable housing scheme, calling on people to utilize the opportunity and secure a home for themselves, adding that there are staff housing units in the Estate, which will accommodate Civil servants in the State.

On his part, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Housing Development Corporation, Architect Willie Okafor, said the Estate, which is ninety hectares, will accommodate all infrastructural facilities as obtainable in developed cities.

Architect Okafor noted that the Corporation attracted investors, in line with the “Akulue uno” policy of the Obiano administration, stating that in no distant time, the Estate will ready for people to come and invest in.

The inspection also took the team to Liberation Housing Estate, Awka, where work is ongoing, with the Contractor on ground constructing the drainages and partitioning the lots.

We can achieve more. One of the best thing Gov. Obiano and (ACTDA) will do for his successor after Nov. 6 election is to Mark and demolish illegal structures to make way for dual carriage road in Awka.
This will help to give our state capital more befitting look.

Radar installation on top of the ATC tower by Craneburg.
This will be a high-tech major boost to NAMA's TRACON system to accurately track and regulate air traffic in Nigeria and the Gulf of Guinea airspace.

The Gatehouse/Tollgate is almost completed.

The main access dual-carriageway has been completed and installation of street lights with landscaping ongoing.

Very impressive. They actually set out to develop a truly international airport. Once they finish the street lights installation, they should start grassing and painting/marking. This is very very commendable

PRESS RELEASE

SOLUDO REMAINS APGA CANDIDATE FOR NOVEMBER 6, 2021 ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

We wish to state unequivocally that Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo remains the governorship candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the November 6, 2021 Governorship Election.

We also state that up till date, it was only Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo that meticulously fulfilled all the requirements enunciated by the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended), the INEC Election Manual and the 2021 Electoral Guidelines of APGA for the 2021 Anambra State Governorship Election
.

It is also clear that the period permitted by law for the conduct of party primary for the election, downloading, uploading and submission of particulars of the governorship and deputy governorship candidates of political parties ended on July 16, 2021. Anything done thereafter without final judgment of court is null and void and of no consequence.

Going by the above, it is indisputable that APGA under the able leadership of Ozonkpu Dr Victor Ike Oye vigorously worked to meet the various timeliness outlined in the laws regulating the conduct of activities of political parties toward the November 6 Anambra State Governorship Election.

We find it detestable that some disgruntled elements masquerading as officers of the party would indulge in brazen acts of illegality and fraud aimed at hoodwinking the unsuspecting members of the public.

We have studied the so-called nomination form claimed by some persons to have been issued to one Chukwuma Umeoji as APGA candidate, which he purportedly filled and returned to INEC on August 5, 2021 and state without any grain of doubt that everything about it was inchoate, irregular and doubtful.

There are three sets of forms issued to every registered political party by INEC for the Anambra State Governorship Election. These forms were EC 9, EC 9B and EC 13B.

But in the said fake letter in circulating they claimed to have submitted only Form EC 13B. This is curious!

These forms were issued to Ozonkpu Dr..Victor Ike Oye by INEC as the national chairman of APGA and he subsequently issued the same to Professor Chukwuma Soludo and his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim who completed them and returned. The forms were then uploaded to INEC using a special code.

Let it be known that there was no way INEC would have issued such forms to Chukwuma Umeoji when the matter is still in court.

For now, the only National Chairman and National Secretary recognized by INEC are Ozonkpu Dr Victor Ike Oye and HE Labaran Maku, CON, respectively.

In the same vein, the only candidate duly known to law and INEC is Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo (and his deputy, Dr. Onyeka Ibezim).

We urge our teeming supporters to discountenance the social media propaganda, remain law abiding and await the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Kano Division.

Barrister Tex Okechukwu,
National Publicity Secretary, APGA

Soon some of us will blatantly claim there were "functional" airports in Anambra before Obiano built one. They will claim that Oba airport was "functional" but as usual will be unable to exactly point out one plane that landed there.
