Soludo is the governor.
So we don't have any other court case with Jude Okeke?

Eddie Njoku: Meddlesome Interloper has his case at the Court of Appeal thrown out.
The Court of Appeal sitting in Kano has dismissed Edozie Njoku's application to appeal the Judgement of the Jigawa High Court.
His application was bereft of any tangible document showing he has any locus to Appeal. There was no single document presented as documentary evidence showing his bogus claim to the leadership of the party, APGA.
Aparts from that the Court told him he also woke up very very late in his claim to be an interested party to the suit below.
His leave to Appeal was subsequently struck out.
*This second appeal has interpreted our appeal with jude okeke....... as the foundation of jude okeke's case ( which is Edozie Njoku) is gone*

Thank you for the update

APGA and OYE wins again as the Court of Appeal Kano Division today, 30/7/2021 grants them Leave to Appeal against the bizarre and infamous Jigawa Judgment of 30/6/2021.

Today, the Special Panel of the Court of Appeal Kano began by first dismissing the Preliminary Objection of Garba Aliyu, argued by D.D. Dodo SAN.

The Court held that the Preliminary Objection is misconceived and therefore dismissed it.

Having dismissed the Objection, the Court of Appeal went ahead to consider the merit of the Application for Leave to Appeal, filed by APGA and its APGA National Chairman, Ọzọnkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye.

In a well considered Ruling, the Court of Appeal Kano granted APGA and our National Chairman, Ọzọnkpu Dr. Victor Ike Oye, the requisite Leave to Appeal against the Jigawa judgment.

The Court of Appeal Kano made the following specific Orders.

1. Leave to Appeal is granted APGA and OYE to appeal against the Jigawa judgment.

2. Accelerated Hearing of the Appeal is granted.

3. The Appellants have 24 hours to file and serve their Appellants Brief of Argument.

4. The Respondents have 3 days only to respond to the Appellants Briefs.

5. Weekends are included in the computation of the above days as stipulated.

Nigeria's Air Peace has own MRO plans

Nigeria’s Air Peace has long-term plans to set up its own Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) facility to avoid the costly maintenance of its aircraft abroad in the face of inadequate capacity at home, spokesperson Stanley Olisa has said.

“This is something we are considering in long-haul but not in the immediate,” he said while confirming that Air Peace currently has 17 aircraft - including E145s, B737s, and one B777 undergoing heavy maintenance in the Middle East and Morocco. He cited high operating costs and lack of adequate technical manpower as some of the challenges impeding a local MRO operation.

With 62% of its fleet of 27 aircraft outside the country, Air Peace chairman and chief executive Allen Onyema recently apologised to passengers for flight disruptions caused by the non-availability of equipment, saying the return of the aircraft had been delayed because of COVID-19 lockdowns in those countries. This had affected the airline's operations, as it had to reduce the number of routes and frequencies it was serving.

Olisa told ch-aviation the airline currently uses its B777s on its Johannesburg O.R. Tambo route, while E145s and B737s have been deployed on domestic and regional operations.

"Specifically, our Accra route, the only regional route we operate currently, is serviced with the ERJs," he said, adding that the airline resumed daily flights to Accra on March 15.

According to the ch-aviation fleets advanced module, Air Peace's fleet comprises eight B737-800s, five B737-500s, one B777-200(ER), two B777-300s, one Do328-300, five EMB-145LRs, three EMB-145MPs, and two new E195-E2s, which have not yet been deployed, according to Olisa. It has eleven more E2s (a total of 13 firm orders and 17 purchase right orders) and ten B737-8s on order.

The newspaper This Day reported that COVID-19 had delayed the delivery of Air Peace’s forthcoming ERJs, saying that three of the new aircraft had been scheduled to arrive in the country on March 17, in June, and in July to normalise its operations.

Nigerian carriers also lack the foreign currency to pay for heavy MRO services abroad, according to the newspaper. A home-based heavy maintenance facility would mean airlines would be able to pay in local currency.

"This is the reason why it is critical that we have maintenance facilities in Nigeria, not just one but two or three because whatever we have will serve West and Central Africa, and by the projected growth of air transport in Africa, many more aircraft will come in a few years," an industry source told This Day.

As things stand, Aero Contractors (N2, Lagos) has an MRO facility that is able to maintain B737 Classics and turboprops like DHC-8-Q400s and DHC-8-Q300s. It is reportedly awaiting certification from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to start maintenance on New Generation B737-700 and B737-800 types.

The Nigerian state of Akwa Ibom is reportedly completing an MRO facility started some years ago, which should be completed in the next two years.

Other operators reportedly considering investing in MRO facilities include Med-View Airline (MEV, Kano), Arik Air (W3, Lagos), JedAir (Lagos), Caverton Helicopters (CJR, Lagos), and Dana Air (9J, Lagos), the latter already completing A-checks but looking to acquire land from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to establish a facility for C-checks, according to the chief operating officer, Obi Mbanuzo.

COURT OF APPEAL, AWKA DISMISSES APPLICATIONS CHALLENGING THE JUDGMENT OF HON JUSTICE C C OKAA; CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE SANCTION OF THE JUDGES AND LAWYERS IN THE JIGAWA, ABUJA AND OWERRI JUDICIAL HEIST!

The Court of Appeal, Awka Division headed by the Presiding Justice, Hon Justice C Nwosu-Iheme has dismissed with heavy costs the applications filed by Chief Edozie Njoku, Jude Okeke and Hon Wilson Onyekwelu. While ruling on the applications on Monday the 2nd day of August, 2021, the Court of Appeal noted that the applications filed by the applicants were grossly incompetent and thus liable to be dismissed. Consequently, the court dismissed the 3 applications with heavy costs in favour of the Chief Victor Oye led APGA.

Particularly, the Presiding Justice frowned at the manner various frivolous suits were instituted in respect of Anambra State Governorship primary election of APGA in various states outside Anambra despite the admonitions of the Supreme Court on territorial jurisdictions of State High court. The presiding Justice, who was livid with anger, called for the severe and immediate disciplinary measures against the Judges and the counsel involved in the spurious judgements obtained in Jigawa state, Imo State and the High Court of the FCT for bringing the image of the judiciary to disrepute and public ridicule.

It will be recalled that Justice C.C. Okaa had delivered an emphatic judgment reaffirming Dr. Ike Victor Oye as the National Chairman of APGA and Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, as the undisputable governorship candidate of APGA. The appellants had filled motions challenging the judgment. They were dismissed.

Chukwuma Umeoji had paid for nomination forms and also went for screening at the Dr. Ike Victor Oye led national executive as the only legally sanctioned and INEC recognized officers of APGA. When he was disqualified with four others, he appointed one Jude Okeke who is unknown to APGA as his own new national chairman. They consequently started shopping for courts and judges who could give them frivolous court orders. They obtained such orders from Jigawa, Abuja and Imo state high courts. The court of Appeal in Awka has frowned seriously at such rascality.

Why you are bothered about the progressive Anambra is beyond my understanding. Your cursed backward shithole Imo state has been taken over by terrorists but because of envy and bitterness you are here night and day crying. Go and contribute your quota in Imo state thread, no one invited you here.

ChineduAlaegbu, the backward glorified village called Owerri is now training ground for terrorists, armed robbers, kidnappers, etc, but you are not worried.

The Anambra International Conference Center, Awka is fast taking shape.

Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano this afternoon, 2nd August, 2021 visited the site for on the spot inspection.

On arrival, it was observed that the escalators and lift have been installed, while the ceiling installations have commenced for the foyer, the main auditorium and other spaces. Even the granite tiles for the floors have arrived, as well as the sound system.

Exterior work is equally ongoing as the entry and exit points into the center are being worked on.

According to the Governor who expressed joy at the quality of work, he called on the contractor to intensify work on the project.

The Governor, while stressing that the project is signature project of his administration, emphasized that it is built to last, asking the contractor to employ lore labour.

Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, among others were part of the inspection visit, while the Commissioner for Housing, Architect Michael Okonkwo was on ground to show the governor and entourage round the project.

After the inspection of the International Conference Center, Governor Obiano also embarked on inspection visit to the Awka City Stadium.

Probably his most significant project. The priority should not only be audio/visual but also cooling system, dehumidification and fire safety system with fire alarms and sprinklers.

Also they need to ensure a good unfettered access road from Agu Awka through Isiagu Nibo Nise to Agulu Lake Hotel with street lighting and also fix the left side of the expressway from Juhel roundabout to Amawbia which IDC never completed for visitors from Owerri, Onitsha, Asaba, Benin.

They will need to relocate all bus parks away from the expressway to ensure smooth flow of traffic. Because for any major event such as trade conventions which attract tens of thousands that eyesore at unizik junction and under the arroma flyover near Bejoy will demarket the ICC.

.....And sound-proofing too! So proceedings in the halls are not drowned out by a heavy tropical downpour!

i noticed a warehouse like building nextdoor to the conference centre. They should build a higher wall there or plant trees to obscure it.

Ok....just watched the part where they talked of plans to insulate the ceiling to eliminate noise when it rains. Overall, it's all taking shape nicely. Hope the landscaping is top-notch too!

So ICC is more significant than an international airport? Stop deceiving yourself here because we all know you are an evil enemy of Anambra, your inputs are demonic and not needed. We don't need your validation to know that Anambra is doing great.

Yes. The interior is huge and is exactly like a Conference center I once used in Hong Kong. Smaller conference rooms on the upper floor and a gigantic main hall which can be used for trade shows or large banquets or functions.

This is clearly the largest conference center in the south east and they should start now to find an events company to run it. There are many conventions that can be brought to the east. We should start with those that would draw visitors from across the south east and places like Delta, Edo, Rivers. Things like building materials, auto parts, electrical, pharmaceuticals, plastics, etc. If the ICC can host upwards of 100,000 people per year its a massive stimulus for the state and valuable marketing. Inevitably it will boost inflow of jnvestment to the state as companies will seek a presence in the state to tap into the SE sub region.

The next governor MUST fix the cities of Awka, Nnewi and Onitsha especially roads and organising the transport system beyond primitive keke and shuttle.
