Won't they weigh the 10kg bag too?

It depends on the airline. Sincerely, KLM has never weighed my hand luggage, but BA, is another case entirely! There was a time they even acted like monitoring spirit, checking at the boarding gate to see if I have added stuffs to my hand luggage

Based on the KLM you mentioned, does Lagos to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Toronto require a TRANSIT VISA?

Landing gist landing gist landing gist grin grin grin grin

So I arrived at MMA, all those serious looking bag boys carried my luggage, I think say them be better people until they told me I needed to buy yellow card 6 thousand naira that without the yellow card, I won’t be allowed to board or immigration will charge me 200 dollar, well I quickly made it clear to them that I came to the airport with no money atall not even dollar….I nor get money to waste.

Flight was by 11pm check-in started by 4PM they asked for my
Enrolment letter
Acceptance letter
School fees receipt

The airline staff (KLM) verified the documents, Omo one fyn woman..I nor just understand just squeeze face Dey say 3 weeks to resumption…Omo I being 1 faint …after snapping those documents I mentioned earlier, I was asked to bring my covid test result…then I realize I’m good to go

If you are traveling..buy snacks or anything put for your bag….hunger almost kill me.

So when I arrived Toronto airport; officer asked me if I have been accepted by the school I’m going to, I said yes, and he said if I have proof I told him yes and should him my acceptance letter.
He was observing the letter then I gave him my letter of introduction without him asking grin
Then he ask if I have paid my fee .. I told him yes and gave him my receipt…he observe the receipt and he said …oboy your admission letter say 15k then why did you pay 3k …..I just smile and said ….we are allowed to pay per the courses you are offering and I will be offering only 3 courses that’s why I paid 3k …..he just node head
So I told him I have my covid result…he asked me to bring it.
Then he started asking me some questions, Omo …I think the officer was looking at my file and asking me questions from there. I realize that when he called the name of my sponsor grin. And asked about his job. I told him every every.
So he ask if I have proof of funds….I told him my sponsor refused to give me grin (I forget to carry o)
Then final question..what will you be doing till your school resume….I told him quarantine grin
So he printed my study permit Nd SiN stuf …..Nd started advising me that I can work for 20 hours then holiday time, I can work for 40 hours….and I can go back to Nigeria for visiting (I just shake my head for my mind).
So that’s all….then I was walking down to the next part I started hearing…hello sir, hello sir , hello sir…..I didn’t bother looking back ….I nor believe say immigration officer go Dey call me sir….I finally looked back, it was d officer and he gave me one of my print out that I forgot with him grin……

So I went to claim my baggage.
After that, I went to do covid test, then after that …went to one joint to wait for my shuttle to my hotel. Nice hotel nice view, Everything went smooth and I thank God for a safe trip.
Wishing everyone coming this fall Safe travels.

I use style like their food sha.

This is Beautiful!!!

Thanks for sharing.

May the Land of Canada favour you!

Before you apply for the Masters in Computer Science at Usask, have you been able to paint a Picture or show an Academic Progression of how Economics is related to Computer Science or is your prior research experience related to Computer Science e.g is your Final Year Economics Project topic related to Computer Science related?

Did you do online courses related to Computer Science?
Did you do certification courses related to Computer Science?

Thanks for the reply. So I graduated with Economics in 2007 but since 2012, I transitioned to programming with work experience and all to show.

Will this make my case more favourable?

Saying it’s not advisable to use third party ! Third party name didn’t show on receipt but their currency logo shows . Plsssssssss someone should talk on this . Me using my uncle in Germany I was able to minimize cost of 200k unlike from Nigeria here through same Flywire

It doesn't matter sir.... The question being asked was not in this scenario.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Akannitommy: 6:38pm On Aug 05, 2021
I think you would have a good chance in an applied IT/Programming/Economics masters than plain Computer Science, at least in the eyes of the VO and admission committee. I am not sure where to or if you can find same in Canada. But if can find something in the shape of this "University of San Francisco's (USA) Applied Economics Master's program, which focuses on the digital economy", I think it would be easier to convince the VO and admission team. Maybe Chief Lekiboboe can help point you in the right direction. That seems like a strategy open to you in the circumstance. Ire oh!

Please guys I have urgent inquiries to make.
1. What's the maximum and minimum pages for sop?
2. Should I state and explain all the lump sum that has been entering my account in my sop?

1) there's no fixed pages to sop, some writes 1pg and get their ppr, some writes 8pgs and get theirs as well, it depends on your story...whichever the case may be, ensure your sop is impressive and easy to read (free of grammatical errors)

2) pls do ensure to state every lump sum

Major tip; don't assume that the VO will understand, see the vo as a baby that needs to be spoon feed.

Based on your Economics & your Programming Work experience, a Masters in Business Analytics or a Masters Research on a Business Analytics research areas would likely suffice for you.

2007 & 2012 till now is a very obvious STUDY GAP, try to do some online courses, related to Business Analytics so you can be Updated with the latest trends of what you wanna go for.
The online course (if stated on your SOP and you show evidentiary document to attest you did the online course) you did can also give an impression to a Visa officer while processing your application that you are inline with the latest trend of what you want to study for Masters

The GURUS would guide you more on that.

It is safer to connect with your intended recipient through their moniker; that way, you are assured of speaking to the right person.

Hi guys,

How do one pay for the tuition deposit? Got admission into Durham College, the options given are: western union (was told can’t send money from Nigeria through this), and fly wire (very expensive).

Sent a mail to the school to get the remittances details so I can pay using Form A, but no respond.

This is not the conventional western union of sending and receiving money.

The option available by the school is Western Union Student global pay which is acceptable by Banks here in Nigeria together with other Form A requirements, You will need to raise a quote as seen in the below picture (Quote last for 3 working days - advised your bank to deal swiftly). I just did a demo for you. Funds are paid in USD or EUR, then the school received the CAD equivalent via the Form A route.

The advantage flywire has is that your funds are 'almost received instantly' but very expensive. WU Globaypay saves you some funds but needs the swiftness of you and your bank in determining how long the process will take.

Shalom!

@Kkddyit .....i will weigh my options best suitable for my circumstance yea your right....sent you a DM pls reply
Kkddyit:

Actually no two applications are the same. I was advised not to even apply together with my spouse and kids and some said I should just apply for visit for my spouse. At the end, I weighed my options and I didn't want the delay that comes with trying to bring my family to join me after landing in Canada. I ended up applying for SOWP for my spouse and visit for the kids. And to God's glory we were all approved. The good side of this approach is that, it's a lot easier if you are going for a PhD program that is fully or partially funded. In my case, I was partially funded and I have some funds to show too. You must also be able to logically convince the VO as to why you must go with the entire family vis-a-vis your home ties.

So you must strategically weigh your options and your circumstances before making that decision.

Best of luck everyone.
