I don't think working remotely will affect resumption. Fresh associates were hired last year during the work from home. Training can be done virtually. However, working remotely might affect HR personnel to shift their on-boarding schedule. At this point, I think everyone should be patient.

So I think the possibility of we resuming September in the office is now very slim as I heard the firm is considering aborting their plans of resuming back to office by September due to the new wave of Corona coming.

So I believe they are taking their time since October is still far.

Remember there will definitely be two batches if it is a physical resumption as against one for a virtual.
So my guess is since the firm is planning to abort the plan of resuming physically by September, hence the October resumption for the graduate program will still be fine as everyone can resume at once virtually.

Sorry, but that logic is too weak to carry such conclusion. Even if mails don’t come in today, it definitely won’t be for that reason.

He's just making some statistical inferences base on what he decoded from the previous threads. So while his prediction might not be completely exhaustive in term of the factors he considered, it can still be tenable.

Also, your use of definitely too is somehow... Why will you be too sure?

Lol. Thank you my brother. I never said they will not send mails today. I only said the 'likelihood'...which translates to probability. History almost always repeats itself.

Again, he didn't bother to look at my last word - 'nevertheless', which connotes a never-say-never mindset.

I don’t know your exact view on my use of “definitely”, but to answer your question........First, PwC did send interview invites on Mondays for some candidates during the last interview process. Secondly, it’s bereft of logic that any company (let alone PwC ) will just single out a working day of the week not to send out communications. If at all it is correct (which is not the case based on the interview schedule notice example) that PwC never sent any mail on Monday, it won’t be better than a simple coincidence. Besides, there could be another or other working days of the week they haven’t sent mails too.

My point is, the possibility of them sending mails today is neither low nor high, it’s like every other day. Mails can in fact drop any day.

Besides, this argument has no bearing on our waiting sef, coz weda or not they’ve ever sent emails on Mondays or Tuesdays or whenever, we will all be refreshing our mails until we get a message simple

Being an hyperactive and an overly inquisitive type like Like Eureka, I have gone through some of the previous threads, I can boldly tell you that the guly is very right with the statement. Monday is the only day they have never sent general feedback mails. You can confirm this from the last 3 years threads.

You may be right with your predictions especially where there is a trend. standard organizations have policy that guides their activities. I know of an organization that sends recruitment mail only on Fridays regardless of the urgency of the vacant position. It is the company's policy that must not be flaunted and I know so many organization would have policy like this too so as to avoid task being disorganized

Well he didn’t say that. He said “mails”. I couldn’t have assumed for him. I responded to that and that alone. I’m only disagreeing to that assertion that they never send mails on Monday. PwC can send in correspondence any day.

In the firm were I did my NYSC, emails about recruitment are sent only on Thursdays after the weekly planning and problem-solving meetings.

Then you should have put it in the context I was coming from, if you didn't want to assume, which was getting feedback after a stage. Everyone here knows they sent mails intermittently during the interview invite phase.
