It depends on the circumstances. However, your date of birth should not be subject to change and you can imagine the thoughts of the VO attending to your application! If there are discrepancies in your DoB, which is a red flag then other discrepancies are further highlighted and amplified.

Why do you have different DoB's? What action have you taken to remedy this error(if it is an error)? Have you explained the circumstances that resulted in this in a clear, concise way? When you answer these questions, then you will know if this infraction is serious or not!

It was an error from when I was getting my international passport, to remedy the situation I had to get a new birth certificate which corresponds with the passport. I didn't write a letter to explain the whole thing while I was applying for the visa because I thought the new birth certificate will cover for the error.

I'm just feeling kinda scared about the whole thing.

It was the same transcript and international passport I presented to the university in which they gave me admission.

Cybersecurity is my intended course

NCI - January 2022
Griffith college - Information and Network security - Feb 2022
DBS -

For September 2022 there will definitely be more options including UCD; Trinity, ULimerick, CIT etc.

Average tuition is 13,000 euros ; maybe lesser depending on discounts available or offered by the schools.

I'm running out of time with my visa application, my school is taking forever to confirm payment and my Duolingo test was not certified because I had to use my phone to switch to hotspot after I lost internet on the cursed WIFI device i was using. Yes so please be careful when writing Duolingo exam.

I'm trying to book PTE exam next week, but my question is: Has anyone been granted visa without submitting any English Language Test??

Thanks for being patient with me.

I have one more question.

What was the total amount that was deducted from your account (in naira)?

[With this, I can have a rough idea of what the exchange rate should be].

Lunette:
I paid 160 euros only and I wasn't charged any direct extra amount by Barter.
However, I had to fund my dollar card, so you might want to consider the exchange rate.

Bro Duolingo English test is the easiest you can take and faster to get result. How to use your phone is by connecting it directly to your computer using USB cable with that you won't have problems with internet connection, do not use hotspots or Wi-Fi the network is not consistent. Also try taking the test in an extremely quiet environment preferably in the midnight when there is less noise and network is stronger that time. Stick to the rules. You have another chance to retake the test and it is free until you are certified. I applied for visa using Duolingo English test though I'm still waiting for response. So I suggest you take your time and study the rules of the test so you don't getting uncertified.

I just purchased the Duolingo English Test.

The test costs $49 and the advertised price of the test in naira is ₦17,700.

However, (I think) there are hidden charges involved in this transaction. These charges are not explicitly stated by Duolingo.

The total amount deducted from my bank account was ₦23,611.80.

At first, I was surprised but after putting some thought into the whole situation, I concluded that the extra ₦5,811.80 was incurred because the transaction is a foreign transaction.

So, if you are:

- interested in the Duolingo English Test and/or
- yet to pay for the Duolingo English Test;

Brace yourself for the extra charges involved!

Bros nau, it is one of the things listed as necessary in the docket of documents to be submitted! Do not bother submitting if you don't have it!

Same here. I tried tracking it with the IRLXXXX number on the yellow slip, but it kept showing invalid reference number. I reached out to the VFS office via email, and they responded that the reference number should start with IELG/****, which I don't have on my slip.

I sent them several emails but I'm yet to hear back from them.

Letterkenny institute of technology is probably the school for you. Tuition is €10,000 which is probably the lowest you can get asides scholarship which could go lower. https://www.lyit.ie/Study-at-LYIT/Find-a-course/?lvl=1

There’s no extra fee or charge. It’s the exchange rate of the bank you’re using. The lowest exchange rate for banks in Nigeria is N450 per dollar. You are probably calculations for
Normal rate.

Try Duolingo one more time. I’ll advice you to take the exam by probably 1am that’s when internet connection is very good. That’s what I did.

Hello guys, I got the study visa and in the process of booking my flight. In terms of accomodation, I have a friend who’s in Dublin who will allow me stay at their place till I get my own accommodation. My question is, will I be asked at the point of entry ‘where I’m going’ since I’ll need to quarantine for 14 days and put my location on the passenger locator form and also, would it be fine to mention that I’ll be staying at my friend’s place during this time. Or can anyone who has travelled during COVID times explain their ordeal.

Thanks

In all honesty, I feel you should have changed the passport details rather than the birth certificate. Your DoB is a constant and a reference point for a lot of things that you can't quantify at the moment. Or you could have sworn an affidavit to correct the error rather than getting a new b8rth certificate , which is easier to do rather than going through the stress of changing your passport.

I hope others who have had this challenge can shed more insight on this

You need to make some more clarifications. What subjects did you teach? If the subject is a STEM subject, especially Mathematics, Science and Physics, you can apply to the UK and if successful, you can go along with your child. Ireland is a bit more stringent in terms if immigration

If you have taken two shots of the vaccine you won’t need to quarantine. Nigeria is not on the designated states list so you might not also need to quarantine. Click the link to read more details https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/a6975-mandatory-hotel-quarantine/

It's fine Yasiin,
Sorry for the late response, just seeing this.

Well, I personally funded my Barter account, then funded my Dollar card with $200, I had about $9 left when I was done making payments.

So my naira account was not directly charged. I hope this helps.

So a situation where I haven’t been vaccinated and would need to quarantine for 14 days, and as regards my previous question on staying at a friend’s when I arrive, will it be fine to put my friend’s address on the passenger locator form and if I’m asked, would it be alright to mention that I’ll be staying at a friend’s.

Thanks

If you are looking at ending of this year the only school that has a flexible intake period is Dublin business school. They have intakes for January, February, March, April and September and you can apply for Masters in Marketing or digital marketing or mba marketing like I did since you’ve a lot of work experience. If you don’t mind resuming next year September then there are lots of schools you can attend that are affordable.
