Please I need help.
Does Canada accept bank statements from micro finance bank as proof of funds. Or do I need to move the money to a bigger bank like Access or Gtb and the likes??

@frankob, please be advised that the Canadian immigration acknowledges funds in micro finance bank for proof of funds. Although, you should include a bank statement from a commercial statement to accompany the Microfinance statement.

Amen thank you! Your coop has been updated, mine nothing yet

RollyA:
TennieYF, see my notes too, pretty much same with yours. it only means nothing has happened despite that my eligibility has started since April 18th or the notes were not updated.

Fingers crossed and mountain praying and fasting

@Frankrobbn1 Goodevening,
Please I submitted my application since June. However the last message I got on my profile was that my Biometrics has been completed as at July 14. Please do you think it is a good idea to request for my GCMS notes now and If yes, Please how do I go about doing that. Thank you

Your application is still within the standard processing times for study permit application. The GCMS notes may have little or no information in it. As such, my professional advice is that you should send webform to remind the visa officer about your application.

Hate to say this, but welcome to the club, eligibility blank gang. Compliance verification should read required anyway but it means almost nothing as most notes have compliance verification required

Good morning, please a friend got his Visa application approved last week and now about submitting application for the rest of the family. The wife and 2 children of age 3yrs and 1year 6months.

Please what type of application will he be submitting for the children? Visiting Visa or Study Permit Visa?

Please help!!!!

@ Frankrobbn, Lekibiboe, ILoveDLord and all the gurus in the house.

The wife will apply for Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP) whilst, the kids would apply for a visitor's visa. A detailed Letter of invitation from the husband must suffice and an authorisation letter as well. The wife will provide a well-thought statement of Purpose to accompany the application.

Amen. Thanks Frank! i have been taught patience on this application. my second note is due 12th of August, if nothing material has changed, then e mean say, i gats increase my fast from 3 days to 40 days. Thanks for your words of encouragement

Frankrobbn1:

Don't be discouraged if the eligibility review hasn't updated on your GCMS notes. A decision can be reached on your application in a matter of hours or days. Keep sending emails and webforms.

my school also said so for some Program including my Program. By end of this week, if I fail to get Decision from IRCC, I will likely consider withdrawal. I will blast them and ask them to withdraw my application. I am just tired
Don't do this. Don't lose hope! You've come a long way. I understand how it feels but be assured that your PPR will come

Lekiboboe:

These are only two schools in Canada offering the Program

MASc in Industrial and Organizational Psychology
University of Waterloo, Ontario

MSc in Applied Psychology (Industrial/Organizational Psychology)
Saint Mary's University, Nova Scotia

but if its a thesis-based MASTERS you want to go for, there are profs. in PSYCHOLOGY dept. in Canadian Universities who have research focus in "industrial organizational psychology". Do a research on each of them and send them a non-generic cold mail based on how their research areas/focus and publications aligns with yours

That being said, just go to google and type

Professor in industrial organizational psychology Canada, you would see loads of search results bringing out loads of psychology profs. (faculty staffs), whose research focus is on industrial organizational psychology

Hi thank you for replying I was able to narrow the search down to uofcalgary, but now the issue is on the professor's profile it says to provide an overview of your research background and funding received but I have none

Okay.. There are many MPS for Ontario..

So you have many options...

If an MP is not giving you the expected result, switch to another MP or many other MPs of Ontario..

Peace

Thank you so much

Good morning when you are filling the ircc forms, was it the tuition 1398 as shown in your gcms notes you put. Or this is what is on your letter of acceptance?

True, i think you are right. cos on my application i indicated i had 69k plus but on the gcms notes, available funds quoted was 68,500. so its clear they inputted it. i always assumed it was what the computer inputted. we learn everyday, thanks for the insight.

Hello Wonderful People...
I must first commend the work you all are doing in here. I have been a silent reader for a while and I pray God will grant us our heart desires with the kind of effort you all have been putting in here.

I'm quite on the low side of experience when it comes to immigration matters, but I have chosen to study in Canada to start with.
I have some questions which I will like the experts here to advise me on.

I applied on April 24th, Biometrics on May 4th and upfront medicals passed May 20th.
I have my eligibility review started few days after my Biometrics and I have received 2 ghost updates.
I applied alongside an SOWP my wife. I have 10 years industrial experience in Engineering and plan to do Masters of Management Science in University of Waterloo. I so have the following travel history, US, UAE, Sudan, Russia, Ghana and Ivory Cost- all done by my employer for training/work purpose.

I ordered for GCMS notes because the wait is taking time. The notes came in this morning. Please see below the screenshots.
I noticed that my info sharing is still "in progress" as against the usual status I see with the notes posted here in the past.
I also noticed there is no VO review comments on my application. I only saw some communication between the VO and Windsor IRCC to confirm my LoA with the school which was validated in July. My account statement was also validated in the notes.
Apart from these two, no other comment is showing in the notes. Notes were Generated on 27th July as written in the document.
I plan to order for another GCMS notes this week.

so here are my questions
- what could cause the info sharing still pending: could it be the countries I have been to in the past
- Eligibility is showing "Recommend Interview", what does that mean?
- is it advisable for me to start my first term online while i wait for the PPR with faith? - class will start in September
- Does anyone have this kind of experience before?

I will really appreciate your response and advise.

Best Regards

I will appreciate

I don't understand your question.

But if what you're asking is about tuition amount, I used my letter of acceptance to fill my imm form and that is what is reflecting on my gcms notes

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by mercy445: 12:19pm On Aug 10, 2021
Hi, I don't know so much but I can shed a little light on your first question. Your info sharing is in progress. Of you travelled to any of the five eyes country, Canada needs to receive information from them about details of when you were there, it's a form of background check. And if you look through your gcms note, there's a part that would list all info sharing and expected due dates. Those countries may not have given them the required info yet, in your case only US.
