Hello Everyone,
I just found this information below (see bold) on IRCC website. Please what do they mean by non-essential reasons?

Also, my 4 years old son is a US citizen, how do I get travel authorization for him to accompany me to Canada next month?
What are the processes and documents required?
Grateful to get feedback from the Gurus and anyone in the house.
Thanks in advance.

Fully vaccinated foreign nationals may be allowed to enter Canada for non-essential travel starting on specific dates:

August 9, 2021: American citizens and permanent residents of the United States, who currently reside in the U.S., and who meet specific criteria to qualify as fully vaccinated
August 9, 2021:French citizens who currently reside in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, and who meet specific criteria to qualify as fully vaccinated
September 7,2021 (tentative): All other foreign nationals who meet specific criteria to qualify as fully vaccinated

Warning: Until the specific dates, foreign nationals who come to Canada for non-essential reasons will be turned away at the border.

Please what does this mean, I am scheduled to travel on the 20th of this month for resumption. Does it mean I can't travel

Do you mean digital passport you are to upload during the application?
If yes, I didn't give attention to the size I used, so I think a moderate size of passport will be fine.
You can use a phone with good camera to take the passport, crop it well and upload.
The time frame and quantity are not cleared. You are expected to upload your passport just in a section.

Yah, is it only one photo?

Planning to take it 3rd week of this month and apply next month. Hope is not too early!

Hello house, please I have a question, if someone got RECOMMEND INTERVIEW on GCMS notes does that guarantee a Visa Approval? And is there anyone here that got recommend interview on his/her GCMs note that got a refusal.
Please gurus in the house help me answer this.

it usually comes a day or two after the passport has been stamped. If your passport was stamped today, you will get it tomorrow or next.

Hello Wonderful People...
I must first commend the work you all are doing in here. I have been a silent reader for a while and I pray God will grant us our heart desires with the kind of effort you all have been putting in here.

I'm quite on the low side of experience when it comes to immigration matters, but I have chosen to study in Canada to start with.
I have some questions which I will like the experts here to advise me on.

I applied on April 24th, Biometrics on May 4th and upfront medicals passed May 20th.
I have my eligibility review started few days after my Biometrics and I have received 2 ghost updates.
I applied alongside an SOWP my wife. I have 10 years industrial experience in Engineering and plan to do Masters of Management Science in University of Waterloo. I so have the following travel history, US, UAE, Sudan, Russia, Ghana and Ivory Cost- all done by my employer for training/work purpose.

I ordered for GCMS notes because the wait is taking time. The notes came in this morning. Please see below the screenshots.
I noticed that my info sharing is still "in progress" as against the usual status I see with the notes posted here in the past.
I also noticed there is no VO review comments on my application. I only saw some communication between the VO and Windsor IRCC to confirm my LoA with the school which was validated in July. My account statement was also validated in the notes.
Apart from these two, no other comment is showing in the notes. Notes were Generated on 27th July as written in the document.
I plan to order for another GCMS notes this week.

so here are my questions
- what could cause the info sharing still pending: could it be the countries I have been to in the past
- Eligibility is showing "Recommend Interview", what does that mean?
- is it advisable for me to start my first term online while i wait for the PPR with faith? - class will start in September
- Does anyone have this kind of experience before?

I will really appreciate your response and advise.

Best Regards

I will appreciate
Hello, I am not one of the Gurus but I will attempt a response.
Info sharing means Canada is collecting data from other countries you have visited particularly USA, to confirm whether you outstayed your visa or whether you committed any offences during your stay. Once the countries give feedback IRCC will update it to passed.

Recommend interview - usually two V.Os review an application, the junior officer recommends interview when they find some inconsistencies which they do not really have capacity to make a decision on. So they recommend interview for the Senior V.O, but usually the Senior V.Os make decisions in Favour of the applicant in this scenario except in certain instances. So nothing for you to worry about.

Yes, you can start classes online while waiting for PPR and yes a lot of people have experienced the things and a lot of them still got PPR.

I am rooting for you, all the best.

At point of entery will I be requested to provide proof of funds? I have paid my school fees.
I was told it is no longer requested at POE, how true is this please?

Also how many account statement should I go with? During the application I submitted my husbands statement but the "mybankstatement" was my account. Should I carry the both or only mine or only his?

Dont do this please, pay attention to yours. Go to canada site and check the specification.
You can as well just type on Google to ask for canada study permit application photo specifications.

YOUR PHOTOS MUST BE:

50 mm wide X 70 mm high (2 inches wide X 2 3/4 inches long) and sized so the height of the face measures between 31 mm (1 1/4 inches) and 36 mm (1 7/16 inches) from chin to crown of head (natural top of head).
clear, sharp and in focus.
The photographers are familiar The dimensions though.

It's one of the documents to be submitted alongside your application.

What can i do to savage the problem. Do i just raise a webform.

Hello, it is solely at the discretion of the immigration officer. Some officers request to see POF and others do not. So we cannot be ascertain if you will be requested to show POF. Carry all the POFs submitted.
