Do you guys realise forcing people to align with IPOB against their wish doesn't make you any different from the president you call a tyrant? What kind of freedom do you such a government would offer if Biafra were to be realised today? Institutions or not, it took a lot of decent human beings to stop Donald Trump from executing a coup in the US few months ago. The decent Republican secretaries across the states where Trump tried to push for fraudulent vote counts, decent court judges across America who shot down numerous vote fraud claims, decent DC policemen who stopped the assault on Capitol Hill on January 6th and above all, a decent vice president Michael Pence who did right by the constitution by dutifully announcing the correct electoral college results and declaring Joe Biden as the next president of the USA.

All of Nigeria's existing institutions are capable of securing our democracy and ensuring progress in society if only they were operated by decent people. We have state governments with real powers, courts, electoral umpires (fed & states), tax cops, police, efcc, IRT, SARS, CBN, DPR, NAFDAC, SON, ministries of all sorts, agencies and parastatals etc. All of these institutions will continue to mirror the strength or weaknesses of the human beings who run them. If we are all lazy, corrupt and inept, our institutions can only be same or vice versa. We remain our own worst enemies.

As for these IPOB, ESN, UGM louts, they will get what's coming for them. It's the innocent/ignorant ordinary citizens of the S/East I feel for.
