So l have been seeing this doc cos my FSH, lh, and prolactin is high, he gave me parlodel and charged me exorbitantly for it l paid, now he is asking for 25k for cabergoline, l was what? He said yes, after that we will boost my eggs with 85k and he will give me a stimulating injection that will trigger ovulation for another 70k. Oh l forgot he will also be doing TVs to monitor and each session is 10k and he listed abt 12 days for me. I was amazed, pls l av moved.

That doctor is very wicked. I don't know why most of them use TTC couples as their ATM. Sometimes, they may not even give you a good brand of the drugs but still end up charging you exorbitantly. This reminds me of one doctor that gave me 3 cards of common doxycycline and collected #4,500. I went to a nearby pharmacy and priced same brand and it was #120 per card. They may even remove the #20 on top if I decided to buy.
Please, look for another hospital. It is obvious the doctor wants to milk you dry.

For high prolactin, you can try any of these: Dostinex Cabergoline, Synergo Cabergoline, Bromocriptine and Vitex.

For egg boosting: Ovaboost, Vitamin E, Royal Jelly, Ubiquinol, Omega 3 fish oil supplements e.t.c.

To boost ovulation, you can go natural. Banana recipe, Bitterleaves juice, Guava leaves and Okro water.

You can track your ovulation with OPK and BBT or go for folliculometry. Follicular tracking is usually done 3 - 5 times in a cycle. The price range for each session is #3,000-#5,000.

I pray your TTC journey ends shortly in praise in Jesus name. Amen.

We tried for another 3 month no show so we decided to see a gynaecologist he recommended that we carryout some test. Hsg for wifey and SFA for me. The result came out fine and everything seems fine. So we continue trying as our gyn keep calculating ovulation date for us every month. We got tried and stop going to see him we continue praying and ttcing after two years of trying God finally answered us early this year and my is almost 30 weeks pregnant now...I just want to encourage us all to never give cos Gods time we never pass usby

Hi mama.
No, blocked tubes don't stop ovulation...however there could be a risk of ectopic pregnancy if conception happens with blocked tubes.
The fertilized egg will not be able to travel down to the uterus for implantation and end up growing in the tubes which leads to cutting off the tube.

Have you repeated the HSG after the flushing? Most people add serrapeptase enzyme to flushing to help unblock the tubes.

Please what brand of serrapeptase is best?
What's the dosage and for how long will I use it for best results?
I haven't done a second HSG yet.

Put all that money together and you're doing IUI in another hospital.

@sugah Good day ma, I went to the hospital today cos I was having fever and serious headache yesterday. I explained my situation to the doctor, he did a scan which confirmed there's a viable pregnancy sac.

He sent for FBC and Mp test to confirm Malaria, results should be out tomorrow.

I was given progesterone injection before leaving the hospital. Also, Duphason tablets twice daily was prescribed and complete bedrest. He says spotting should stop in 48hrs (all things equal). I hope he's in line cos it's my 1st visit with him.

Bed rest means you're only standing up from bed to pee or bath. Adhere strictly to the instructions please.

I & hubby started the TTC journey in April this year. No positive results yet. My point of worry now is that It's been very very very difficult for me to determine my menstrual cycle. Not because I don't know how to count it, but because the cycles vary from each other every month. Beginning from the first year I mensturated (2005) till this month (Aug, 2021). The cycles are never the same. Sometimes it reads 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 and even 32.
From June last year till Aug this year below is the number of cycles I've had
June-July 30days
July - Aug 29days
Aug- Sept 31days
Sept -Oct 28days
Oct - Nov 27days
Nov- Dec 28days
Dec- Jan 25 days
Jan- Feb 26days
Feb-Mar 32days

I think the best thing you can do for starters is to get an ovulation test kit...u can get 2. Test from day 9 and see if there is an indication of ovulation as u test. You can also do follicular tracking to determine if there is 'actual' ovulation each month.
From here ur gynaecologist will know how best to help you if needed or not.

I was only reiterating that the doctor was seriously overcharging and exploiting you. Some hospitals charge about 200-300k for IUI.
You're already on the right path of seeking information on how to change the situation...you can either work with another humane doctor or take some time off to DIY.

We stopped trying and went for Myomectomy in December 2020. Thank God for speedy recovery even though constipation dealt with me.

We were told to wait till 3 months before trying again so fast forward to April, May, June, nothing. So l changed to another doctor who sent me for another HSG.My tubes came out fine.

He monitored me for July cycle and gave me the HCG trigger shot. We followed with fasting and midnight prayers, hubby is very cooperative too, l bless God for him.

I am happy to announce to you that God has answered our prayers, still like a dream. l got a BFP this week via test strip. I also did blood test yesterday and it was positive too. From my calculation, we are 6 weeks. I will see my doctor on Tuesday to check heart beat and all. Wish me luck
