I quite agree with you but service lanes could be added on both sides by the state government, just like they did at Headbridge up to Borromew junction. That way there won't be traffic interruptions on center speed lanes.

JohnBullMySon:
No, that doesn't make sense. It contradicts the major reason for the road. To decongest the Highway within onitsha. What will now be the difference with Onitsha when you have shops and buildings and cars turning in and out, It is not a street road but a highway. In fact it should be barricaded on both sides. Controlled access. That's how freeways in America are designed. You will never see buildings beside them or facing them even when it runs through a city.

But it's unnecessary na. It's more beautiful leaving that countryside the way it is. Instead of building isolated houses along it. Won't it look strange?

Nwanne in my earlier post, I said that government should acquire all the lands in that corridor and properly allocate them to major multinational companies to develop major industrial hubs(extension of Onitsha Harbour). Service lanes could be built so that traffic interruptions won't affect the superhighway that links the 2nd Niger bridge. Even the entire stretch of Anambra international airport road has been acquired by the government and 100meters set back instituted.

You like to talk a lot of rubbish with your lack of education. There is no superhighway in Nigeria. A superhighway is 10 lanes or more not Nigerias 6 lane basic expressway. Secondly, every highway has something called a right of way and all federal expressways OWN the land on each side up to 45m which is meant for drainage, public utilities like light poles, cables, etc. Of course in the zoo none of the baboons even obeys simple highway code.

THIS IS MY HOMETOWN ENUGWU UKWU ; A COMMUNITY SITUATED AT THE HILL TOP.

By Akweke Francis Chidozie Okoye

If There Is One Community In Igboland Where Their People Practice The "Akuluouno" Philosophy To The Core, It Is Enugwu Nnem.

A Typical Son Of The Soil Who Has All The Properties In The City And Is Yet To Have A Mansion In His Village, Such A Fellow Is Seen As Akalaghori In My Hometown.

In Enugwu Ukwu, You Now Barely See Empty Plot Of Land Located At A Very Good Site Without Being Told That The Owner Is Either About To Build And Develop The Land Or Is Not Ready To Dispose Off The Land.

Most Ndi Enugwu Ukwu Enwero Zi Ana Ebe Anyi Ya Alu Uno. Some Of Us Are Now Relocating To Nearby Towns To Buy Land For Residential Houses. The Available Ones Are Very Costly. In Enugwu Ukwu Today, A Good Plot Of Land Is Not Lessthan 5 Million Naira.

History Has It That Enugwu Ukwu Community Was One Of The Foremost Communities In Igboland That Got Their Community Connected To The National Grid Of Electricity Immediately After The Civil War As Early As 1975 Through Self Help Led By Engr R.N Okeke (The Father Of The Current Deputy Governor Of Anambra State) Who Then Was A NEPA Senior Official.

History Also Has It That Enugwu Ukwu Community Was One Of The First Community In Old Anambra State That Constructed A Modern Civic Center In 1982 Commissioned By Former Vice President Arch Dr Alex Ekwueme Through Our Self Help Championed By A Foremost Contractor Late Chief R.O Nkwocha(Ide Of Enugwu Ukwu). Infact It Was This Modern Civic Centre Complex That Housed The Old Anambra State House Of Assembly Complex Immediately After The Creation Of Anambra State.

As Far Back As 1966, Enugwu Ukwu Community Through Self Help Mobilized By Sen Chukwuemeka Udenze Constructed A Well Equipped Post Office Complex In The Community And Handed It Over To The Federal Government Of Nigeria.

Enugwu Ukwu Is Indeed One Of The Most Developed Communities In Igboland. The Self Help And Enterprising Spirit Of A Typical Igbo Man Is Totally Epitomized In An Enugwu Ukwu Man.

#Note; This Photo Was Shot On My Wedding Day Last May, By My Cinematographer Mr Chinonso Gentility Esq.

I Am Proud Of My Town, Enugwu Ukwu And That Is Why I Am Crying Today That I Am Yet To Have My Own Mansion In My Hometown, Even When I Am Already A Small Landlord In Abuja.

Anambra international airport is the international gateway to the eastern Nigeria. Best and biggest single infrastructure by a state governor in the region since 1999. Good development.

It probably cost twice that but the question is why do they hide contract sums? I looked at ANSG accounts. There is tremendous waste and theft. For a state that gets 130b in revenue and spends just 8b paying salaries you can see its a government of racketeering where the game is to award lots of contracts to buy vehicles, build or renovate buildings and spend huge sums on allowances for feeding, travel and others.

50b a year for capital projects and nothing game changing. For example, FGN is reconstructing Onitsha -Awka express for 15b. The same 15b ANSG wastefully said it spent on those three poor quality flyovers in Awka.

The forces against good government in Anambra is massive. The thieves in parties live from all these contracts and the result is that the government fails to build proper water systems in cities, roads, hospitals and schools.

APGA is today no different from PDP or APC. Anambrarians should vote for Maduka if they will allow it.

This is truly fantastic. If they can build a business model of making very fine ready-made packaged African-designed tops and trousers/ skirts. I am sure they will break the monopoly of China in designing and sewing ready-made African-designed clothes sold in every store all over the world.

Anambra under APGA has performed more than any other state in the region.

Anambra under APGA has managed resources far better than any state in the region.

Anambra under APGA has repositioned Anambra and set it on the path of sustainable development.

Anambra under APGA has developed the best and biggest international conference centre, international airport, 3 solid beautiful flyovers in Awka, over 10 bridges, roads, schools, hospitals, etc.

Anambra under APGA has witnessed tremendous developments far ahead of any state in SE region.

You want Maduka, why not open your own thread to campaign for him, instead of camping here. Well our promise to you, is that you will never have your way in this thread.

Anambra is truly the best and light of the entire black race.
