For the same reasons some people prefer apples to oranges.

Price factor

if you've lived in the UK/australia etc all your life driving such cars then you would be more comfortable driving them in Nigeria.

thing is, it's actually illegal to drive it here in Nigeria. You'd be getting ripped by traffic officers

that's my point baba. It's an avoidable headache. Considering it may not even be done well

They are cheaper esp if you're retailing for profit, take the case of most micra cabs, bought RH,sometimes with no roofs, converted & sold for good profit.
