Just imagine. How can a woman, a wife, and a mother who doubles as a teacher kill a child like this?

Over assignment and you choose to flog a child with a bucket handle? Will she use that on her kids? Will she tolerate that being done on any of her relatives or child by another person?

I'm not surprised it's an FGC. This is One major reason I hate boarding houses, especially Federal Government Colleges. That kid was sick and no proper medical attention was given to him. That's how I almost died many years back in one of the federal colleges due to malaria before my parents withdrew me. And from the start I was crying I didn't want to attend the school oh, my mum thought it was kid's stuff. Senior students dey show junior students shege for that place, teachers dey fear the senior students join. Very lawless and barbaric environment. If you must send your child to a boarding house, then let it be a private school please or paramilitary (Airforce, navy etc) stay away from government colleges please!!

I think it's a matter of some students being impossible to change and if the teachers/school management don't understand,stuff like this may happen again.


Some people think certain things should be ENFORCED and that leads to inevitable brutality


I think students that have issues with assignments should be investigated in order to find out what's behind the issues.


If it's impossible for the specified students to change,then they have to be distinguished as those that are NOT expected to do their assignments.



If those students miss whatever gain that exists in considering assignments,then nobody should be blamed except the person contributed to anything that made it impossible for the assignments to be considered.



If the assignment has to be carried out through the internet,all students should not be expected to do it except all students have confirmed that they have access to the internet (gadgets, electricity and data).

Until we hear from the school management.
Teaching of teenagers is not easy knowing how stubborn most of them are.What stopped d boy from telling d teacher he was sick.Keeping mute must have infuriated d teacher.

Lol.. my dear, it's not easy. These children can tempt somebody to do and undo.

Imagine, after sweating to teach a child and give him or her homework to do to enable you evaluate them for proper guide, only for the child to bring it back to school undone.
How would you feel?

Theres a boy in my class that has the habit of not doing his homework. The day I flogged him, the mom came and reported. Since then, if I check his homework and it's not done, I'll just close it and pass it back.

When it was time for test, he failed woefully and I gave him his deserved OdO.

Like I said, I don't even support coporal punishment in schools, but aside these teachers also need training in handling their wards to prevent future occurrence.

Nigerians can be unreasonble sometimes, beating somebody child to death, because of ordinary assignment he did not complete.

The other day, a little girl sued her state government because of this same reasons, but guess what? Many of you justified the teacher actions, claiming the school have their laws, now this happened.

It's in our nature to err, though we're higher animals, but unlike our lower relatives in the jungle, they do adjust and adapt base on result and consequences, but we humans sometimes don't. "Let dogs delight in bark and bite cause tis their nature too......" Consequences doesn't deter actions for us, if not they will be no crime. It goes both ways and also hand in hand because not all humans have the same level of comprehension
