Four months is stated on IRCC website but 6months is widely used.
So yes, you can use five months.
However, if you are going through NSE, it has to be six months statement and 12 months banking history.

6 months to show the funds is truly yours
And 1 year banking history to show its both it's a genius acct doing transaction for long I guess. Just a single 1 year statement will satisfy both condition rather than printing 2 statements of 1 year and 6 months respectively...

Just print 1 year statement and give them. Success all d way

My PPR has been approved but I am already in d US and don't want Canada again. Please how can I cancel the visa application?

Why do you want to leave Canada for USA.

If you are married, know your spouse will not be eligible to work in US.

After your OPT in USA H-1B work visa is lottery and not certain even with a job offer in US unless you are in the academic, while if you have a Canadian citizenship you easily get TN work visa which is available only to Canadian and Mexican citizens.

Go to Canada you can always come back to US after obtaining your Canadian citizenship if you still prefer US.

Getting your admission letter from your school is most important to commence your application.
After that go to the first page of this thread to find all the other documents you need to start your processing, of course you'll ignore certain docs like Bsc cert, university transcripts and NYSC cert. Every other files requested is what you'll need to submit.

If school resumes on the 7th of Sept, and still expecting PPR as at today 16th Aug,can someone meet up? Before sending passport to VFS and receiving. My school sent a mail for deferment or starting with other available online course while next intake is filling up fast. God,please take control
To fellow PPR hopefuls, what shall we do?

If yes, where can i get vaccinated please?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Oyesquare10: 6:57pm On Aug 16, 2021
This depends on the the deadline of course Registration in your school. Stamping of Passport is not an issue to the best of my knowledge
Take for instance your school allows late reg/deferment till 6th of Sept, PPR coming by 5th of Sept is still in line as you can quickly reg the following day and send your passport for stamping.
The implication to this is late resumption and as you might know, some institution will still be doing virtual classes this fall so you can be attending classes online while you wait for your stamped passport and then travel upon receipt.

My little quota

PPR alerts
You guys will have to forgive me I am sending this late. My PPR came out on August 10th, 2021 after one year. I applied for my study permit on August 9, 2020. On Dec 19th the embassy sent a mail requesting me to write IELTS and submit before 30days, which I did. Dec 19th was the last time I heard from them up until July 22nd, 2021, where I was told to submit my medicals.
The miracle that happened is this. I did my medical on August 4th which was on a Wednesday and the hospital told us it was going to be uploaded on Monday. I did not even check if it was uploaded or not all I got from the embassy the next morning was the passport request mail. I could not hold back my joy and tears. I mean I have waited this long for this. I was already done with the first year moving to the second year now.

What I did :
I sent a mail to the Parliament in Lethbridge and Calgary
I sent IRCC my transcripts, enrollment letters, and tuition receipts
I sent emails and web forms every time.
Lastly, I prayed and fasted. I can't count the number of fasting I did. I thank God it came out positively
I am so sorry this is coming late.

I pray for everyone still waiting that God who turned my waiting to testimony will do yours speedily. Amen
I learned a lot from you guys and I will forever be grateful for this platform.

Congratulations. Canada will Favour you, the Lord of your testimony will continue to uphold you. Amen.

Application Story and Landing gist combo, Enjoy the ride

Good day nairaland family, here is my application story and landing gist, before you begin to read you should know this was an imperfect application God perfected, last year after covid19 hit , I started taking my study thought more seriously, I engaged my brother who advised I get a lawyer since we didn't know much about the process, we got one and he said all the nicest things to us about the need to use a legal representation because with that I could always appeal any unfavorable decision so I was impressed and I decided to go on with him , we agreed like 600k and we were good to go, he sent the required form and then it was time to get admission, Nigeria university transcript stress began , I tried to get it but because of nasu strike I wasn't able to progress so I lost the first school because I wasn't able to get my transcript so I engaged my lawyer to see what my option was with this transcript wahala, he said we have to wait for it because with my engineering degree I needed to show academic progression, by that time I got tired of waiting and I wanted a solution not a waiting plan so I told him I heard I could get admission with only my waec and he said yes but it would be a diploma and it wouldn't should academic progression, I got confused and asked what do you mean by academic progression I want to spend my money and now u are telling me I can't spend it because of progression, it sounded very confusing to me so I told him he should get me a business administration degree and I would use our family business as a work progression ,he warned that I should be going for an MBA with my degree already and not a diploma, at that time the progression topic was still vague to me so I told him to go ahead that I would use some of my business and leadership certificate I got during my work experience in the oil and gas having worked for an IOC to show I am not green in the business world , he said it was my call and went ahead to secure the admission, I paid my deposit fee and we started preparing my documents for application, my family business employment letter , my brother statement of account, sponsorship letter , letter of explanation, letter of submission by my lawyer, all my certificate, family cac documents, brother landed properties , after I felt I had reasonable documents , we applied around October 2020 then my wait began then NSE came , we were the first batch of NSE , so I wrote ielts and the proof of funds became a problem because I sent majority of the money in my account to my dad's bank , so we just sent the money to my brothers account making his to be like 13 mil after that I entered nairaland lol, that was when I understood what my lawyer was saying about progression bla bla bla, I started seeing strong applications, and people were bluntly stating if u applied for a diploma programe forget it and I was here with an engineering degree going for a college diploma, I decided to run to God , I don't know how to fast so I invested more in charity to be able to access God's heart and booking mass, in January I decided to go for medicals, I told my lawyer about it he said no ,he started behaving like I was disturbing him and that I would have to pay for any extra services he does for me after paying more than 600k, I ignored him and went ahead and did the upfront medicals and told him to send it for me since he was in charge of my correspondence, he said no , I went and created webform and sent it my self, then my fellow october time line started receiving PPR February, I told him to help me send a message enquiry the status of my application, he still refused see wahala, I went behind him and sent a message directly to Nairobi and my brethrens he called me next week telling me my PPR has dropped , I just looked up to God and just said thank you , an imperfect application God perfected, guys to show you the power of God , here is the twist ,when my gcms note came in, the case analyst stated I was going for a post graduate diploma ,I am not very religious but this life is spiritual , this is for applicants waiting for PPR , do the best you can and commit it to God, I took responsibility and God helped me, one of the biggest burdens we would always have is making decisions, let us be motivated by faith and not fear, this page has been such a blessing to a lot of us and this is the little way of paying it forward ,to improve the overall knowledge and to guide people in various scenarios, thanks to just mellow , frankrobbbn, lekiboboe and everyone who keeps enriching this group, we probably would have no idea how this group protects us from those hustlers, the wait is hard but you have to stay positive always and keep your faith intact, now for people who have gotten PPR , join me in the landing gist next story , this is getting too long

Congratulations. I love your testimony. He is God of all flesh. Nothing is too difficult for Him.
