The US did not go into afghanistan to make sure women had equal rights with men. They went there to make sure that Osama bin Ladin and his geng did not have the strength or power to repeat 9/11 on US soil. Once that mission was accomplished, it was a matter of time.

The Soviets did not go into Afghanistan to make sure women had equal rights with men. They went there to make sure that their allies in power were not removed by the conservatives, and that Soviet interests in the region were not threatened by the USA.

If Afghan women want equal rights and justice, they have to fight for equal rights and justice. And it is going to take them time, and a lot of money and a lot of lives. Yes, lives. Even their foreign allies that were encouraging them...women rights took centuries to take hold in Europe, and the USA. And the women there achieved it without having foreign troops on their country's soil. Their police did not back them even (at one time in most European countries it was legal for a man to rape his wife...it took decades of women fighting to make that illegal)

Or were they expecting the US to turn Afghanistan into a colony of the USA...with American district commisioners in every nook and cranny to enforce human rights. In a country with limited resources?

If men are also not victims, why would the three men who died and counting risk their lives to attach themselves to a plane?

Does Taliban killings affect only women? The president that deserted his country, is he a woman? The young soldiers who were not paid for months, properly fed or well taken care of are also women abi?

Why should we google your "facts"?
Did you google them before spewing them out cause if you did you will realize the following facts:
1. Hitler was not a religious man and WWii was not a religious war
2. The crusade was in response to Islamic expansionist terrorism on innocent Christians or is self-defence no longer allowed in Islam?
3. The transatlantic slave trade was not led by the church. It was led by imperialists who were looking for cheap labour on their plantations.
4. Conquistadors (not constitador) were Spanish merchants looking to expand their trade just like the British colonialists.

But why should I be surprised. Mohammed was a chronic liar, deceiver and usurper. What less can be expected of his followers than trading in lies and falsehoods? At least, the fruits of his religion is evident in all continents all over the world.
