I totally agree with you about the errors. My application was refused saying that I had a higher degree than proposed study . I actually have a Bsc and going for post graduate certificate. Even my LOA that was confirmed from school has all the information. See my pre assesment note here and then the refusal was a shocker. These people do make errors really but it will always end in Praise for us

You can imagine such obvious error from IRCC. These guys make too many errors and its so unacceptable. You will surely get approval with your profile.... It's just the little delay.

The same thing happened to me when I requested for the renewal of Travel Exemption Letter for my children because theirs expired since it wasn't used within the 3 months validity period. The guy that handled the request said the application with my UCI number wasn't approved so I was not eligible to request Travel Exemption Letter for my children. And I attached everything o - I mean my student visa, their visitor visas and the expired exemption letters.

In fact my other letter quoting the refusal reason was filled with anger questioning IRCC standard. I got their responds after 16 days with the new Travel Exemption Letter. These guys make too many errors.

Just stay positive and shoot again.

Elenewton1, this truly broke my heart .. I'm so sorry about this , please stay strong .. May your next app be the hit for you. Congrats in advance.

elenewton1:
Application declined 18th August 2021.
Timeline:
Application submitted April 26th 2021 (PhD with full funding). Also submitted my personal bank statement (not MBS).
NSE request May 7. Ignored it and went with normal route.
Upfront medical passed june 25th.
Eligibility review always read "in progress..."

Reason for refusal: We are not convinced you will be able to pay the tuition fee. Also, you do not have sufficient finance for your accompanying family member to Canada.

P.S: My full funding covered both tuition and monthly expenses. I also submitted my account statement indicating that I can pay for my miscellaneous expenses. I did not include that anyone is accompanying me. Infact in my IMM form, I specifically selected "no" to this question.
Obviously, they did not do a thorough review.
I'm awaiting my notes.

Wishing you all the best as you await their response.

May Canada favor her

Writing this on behalf of my sister to encourage someone here.

The US denied her students visa 4 times. We decided to try Canada since the US refused to give her visa. She received admission into 2 university out of the 3 she applied to.

Here’s her Timeline
April 26——Study permit Application submitted with upfront medical.
April 28—— Did her Biometric.
May 6 —— NSE request
May 12—— Reasons why she can’t go through NSE was received (sponsor lives in the US and English exam was waived for her). All with evidence.
May 28——- Applied for GCMS note
July 2 ———- GCMS received but blank
July 5 ——- Applied for a new GCMS note
July 10 ——— Submitted a webform to ask for the status of the application.
July 20 ——- Webform received and told it has been forwarded to Nairobi.
July 21 —— Eligibility review started.
July 26—— PPR (Passport Request)
July 28 ——- Passport sent to Abuja
August 4 ——— Passport Stamped
August 5 ———- GCMS note received (visa approved).

Congratulations to her. Please can you share the reason you gave them to waive the NSE English exam for her.

Thanks

In my opinion this denial look harsh! They are human and make so much error sometimes. Have you requested another note to see the senior VO's concern? You will surely get it. The delay is just unacceptable.

Yes what you you said is correct. Maybe I didn’t word my reply properly. What I meant to say is that if her application is still pending, then she can still provide new LOA, however once it is approved then it is too late for any changes to LOA. ( change to school can only be done in Canada) Sorry for any confusion!

Please my own question is if someone had completed 2 semesters online and is yet to get a study permit. I now wanna defer till next intake will I need to send them an update on the application as I would have collected a new LOA.

Please help with this

so sorry, just do not give up, please I wish to do MSc biochemistry and don't just know how to start, I need help with schools with good tuition and how to start the process ... Anyone here to guide me through this process please?

Hi

Your Study Plan should either go in line with what you studied in the University, grade you graduated with or your work experience (related to your degree or not).

Your Response to the following questions would determine if you will be able to go for a Masters in biochemistry or Post GRAD. Certificate (PG.Cert) program in a Biochemistry related program or a Program related to your Work Experience

- What did you study in the University?

- What did you graduate with, 2.1 or 2.2 and what's your CGPA?

- Is your Last two years CGPA in the university very good/good? That is, your CGPA in your 400L & 500L?

- What year did you graduate ? (to address study gap)

- Do you have a job? If yes, What is the name of your Job, and what are your Job duties? (to know if your Job is related to your Degree or not?)

- How many years work experience do you have?

I was thinking it was because it's my second application, hence, why they didn't bother notifying me my medicals have been passed since it's the same medical exam. I was notified in a couple of days for my previous application.
I am also facing the same issues my second application isn't saying anything like medical passed and biometrics updated. I applied since May 6th

Sorry about your delay, someone in IRCC office didn't do their homework renmoney right, hence the discrepancies in information.

Kindly request your notes, and reapply asap reach out to your school if you have to, address any concerns not in the denial message, that is showing on your notes, I look forward to your testimony soon.

If it is convenient for you to get started online do, while you are hopeful on your reapplication.

I believe lots of improvement will be done on your LOE and reapplication.

It will end in praise

Hello Achi911

Sorry for the refusal. As we all know, the 1st step after a refusal is to order for your GCMS notes after which we can know how to tackle the concerns of the VO that led to your refusal...

You can look through my previous posts, I put down the guideline on how to apply for your GCMS notes, but you will need someone to be in Canada.. There are 3rd party sites too for GCMS note but they are expensive than the recommended GCMS website from IRCC...

Should in case you don't have anybody in Canada, you can contact me..

Once your GCMS note is ready, we will take it up from there..

Its not over until you Win..

PEACE

Hello guys I just got a rejection on my study permit base on my family ties and employment.

I’m not even down even though I thought I will if this happened. Please suggest to me the quickest way I can apply and get my gcms note.

Below is my timeline. Please I will need all the assistance I can get with reapplying. Thanks for all your help guys, it Will end in praise.

Biometrics - April 14
NSE request - April 22 (Declined NSE)
Upfront medicals - August 10
Visa declined - August 18
This is my first application.

Meanwhile During this whole period, I had submitted through webform, birth certificates of my father and siblings to prove family ties.
I also submitted by webform employment letter and worker’s ID, and the portal hasn’t acknowledged till this decision that my Additional documents were reviewed.

I don’t know why they’re saying purpose of visit as an excuse, I studied till only 200levels between 2014-2016, I submitted my transcripts too to prove this, and I explained in my LOE that I wanted to finish my undergraduate education.

What type of account is the personal bank statement you submitted, is it a fixed deposit? I feel they refused unjustly if it's a normal account and you have more than 10k cad in it plus they are even funding your monthly expenses... Sorry about it. I had this type of refusal and nothing was in my GCMS Notes other than the reasons for refusal.
