The interview by former Military President, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Arise Television where he said individuals in their 60s should be the focus of Nigerians as potential presidential candidates in 2023 resonated well with many people in the country especially with the young Nigerians who are tired of the older and are yearning for a new breed of leaders.https://independent.ng/2023-who-fits-the-bill-of-nigerias-ideal-president/

Nice write-up. i would have preferred Moghalu and Akinwunmi Adesina too but they don't have political parties that can win |

Osinbajo all the way, his days of acting remain fresh in our memories. how he get the country to the extent that opposition and Nigerians were praising him show he is up to the task, experience wise, heis very and most capable and fit. |

No single Igbo candidate.. This is unfair. A major tribe will not be given a chance like the two other major tribes, yet they don't want them to have their own country.. I'm Edo guy before y'all come for my head |

Nigeria can only have a good president if he or she isn't affiliated to any political party. |

A Southerner who isn't bigoted but investment oriented. One who is objective, economy driven and decisive when it comes to the security challenges we are facing. |

Una don start oh, make una nor go vote another Buhari come office oh. Why posting these old and selfish men? Why do we like recycling rubbish in Nigeria? These people are known thieves, if they become president, they won't rule any different from. Osinbajo try small but we nor want am still, his attachment with this Buhari government make me nor too trust the man. Mention people like Sowole or falz not these old rusty, corrupt and deadly bunch. Donald Duke and Oby Ezekwesili is also a good choice. |

The guy who wrote this is a typical Yoruba tribalist who thinks that only a Yoruba or someone who bears a Yoruba name can be the next president. What about fellows like: Peter Obi Donald Duke Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, etc? These are people who have performed far above average in long-term and complex leadership positions. Osibanjo is yet to be proved in a long-term position where he had all the freedom to make and break high-profile decisions. Saraki and Rotimi Amaechi didn't perform above average as governors. Fashola is a tribalist. However, kudos to the writer for ruling out Vegetable Tinubu. |
