Ndidi as No 10.

If you're the Coach, you'll ruin Super Eagles

Haba Aribo as the no 10, Ndidi and Onyeka making up the rest of the midfield

We have a young team, but they are doing very well last season and this season also, like Victor Osimhen, who was top scorer in qualification,”Rohr told ESPN.

“Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi and so many playing very well in the clubs in Europe. So as we think about their players, they think also about our players.”

Okay na...

But showing his stats from last season which contradicts some of their assertions on Nwakali being a lazy player or one not worthy to be mentioned as I read several pages ago is not hype. It is setting the records straight. The emeka you speak for does not even watch nwakali and so cannot possibly have an informed opinion on the lad at this point.

wow i didnt realise he was that influential last season!!

If Marcus Abrahams was given a game even though we werent lacking options in his position then Nwakali surely deserves a look in too. I had been skeptical about him all this time but it is the right call now.

And Villarreal are to sign Arnaut Danjuma, I knew Pino wasn't enough competition for Chukwueze.

So as pino wasn’t enough competition they bought danjuma to make it 2 players ?

Danjuma plays a different wing from Chuks

Danjuma plays on both wings, but I agree, he is not a direct competition for him.

However, Jota isn't a direct competition for Salah, but is a competition nonetheless.

Front 3 would be way too imbalanced. Who will hold width? Who will drift in? Who will create if all 3 are interchanging?
All three aren't great dribblers too.

Your head enh they there. People here talk this and that. Forgetting none of our wingers none is a fluid 5 star dribblers.

Play 433 and watch them run into defenders like they always do.

Rohr wise enh na to thinker with this team formation. For fxck sake we no get any number 10 of top quality when to stand midfield irrespective of what you guys think of iwobi, Aribo or Nwakalli. Let’s be true to ourselves, this team ain’t cohesive, rohr haven’t cooked us well not one bit.

Chukwueze, musa, Henry when never get enough playing time together in SE. na we go carry put for front to perform miracles.

A team is a unit and we all know here that Nigeria team is far from being a unit.

Excerpts from ESPN's Rohr Interview:

"It is a big challenge to play against Egypt in the first game and a player like Mohamed Salah,”

"It is a big challenge for all our defence and also for all our team. We will defend collectively against him of course, and we are growing together since a few years now and I believe our defence is able to be efficient against such a fantastic player."

“We have a tough group. Egypt, everybody knows and everybody wanted to avoid. But they are with us, it is okay,

"Sudan also. They have a French coach, a friend of mine, who did a good job since he arrived there, coming out from a difficult group. Also, Guinea Bissau is not easy.

"I would like to win against the first two teams, and then I can bring in the third game, as I did in the last Afcon, the substitutes, and give rest to our starting players from the first two matches.

"If we win the first two matches it is not a problem, we are qualified and then we can change our team. But of course, nobody will be underrated, and we are not afraid of anybody.

"I think that the most important is to start well the competition. We will be very, very well prepared. We need to be ready for this first match against Egypt in Garoua."

19 y/o Nigeria U17 star at the 2019 FIFA U17 WC, Olakunle Olusegun is being linked with a move to FC Krasnodar of Russia.

Moving from Fremad Amager in Danish division 2 to the Russian top flight would be quite the leap for Olusegun.

Source is one of Denmark's reputable newspapers (@BTSportsen)

Time will tell.

His 20/21 season stats at Amager:

▶️Olakunle Olusegun (Fremad Amager: Danish NordicBet Liga)

*7 goals + 4 assists in 31 league games (21 starts)

*5 goals in 6 Cup games (4 starts)

Overall total:
*12 goals + 4 assists in 37 games (25 starts) in all comps.

A little twist which isn't 100% confirmed yet.

As at 12-24 hours ago, Olakunle's profile on Transfermrkt read "without club" indicating that he was a free agent coming into the summer.

Well, just today, his profile has been updated by Transfermrkt and what can be drawn from the update is that he has signed for Botev Plovdiv in the Bulgarian Efbet liga (first tier).

Now, I have been to the Botev official social handles on both Instagram and Twitter and as at five mins ago, I saw nothing on Olakunle's supposed move to Botev as indicated by Transfermrkt.

'Visited their official site and it was also a no show.

It's not the first time Transfermrkt will update a player's profile with the player ending up not going to said club but time will tell if this is de ja vu or if they actually nailed this one. We watch.

Iwobi played on the left-wing in our last two AFCON qualifying games while Nacho played both the 10 and 8 roles.
Ndidi and Aribo played the midfield 2 against Benin while Etebo came in for Aribo against Lesotho.

Iwobi often dashes into the midfield to add more body, thereby creating space for Sanusi to overlap and put crosses in.

Rohr will not change this formation for anything! The man is stubborn!
