FC Porto set to sign Wendell a 28yo Brazilian LB from Bayern Leverkusen. Guess sanusi could spend a considerable amount of time on the bench this season

naso e easy to score

Truly it is
Great strikers master movement and positioning as well as clinical ability
Once those are in place, it's just a matter of time, as they will always get chances
With a bit of help from team mates to allow him take penalties, he's on track
Remember he has 3 now, and season just dey start..

I will not predict 20 + goals for any of our forwards apart from simmy and onuachu

But I will be so happy if they even score 15 at worst but that doesn’t mean that they can’t do it ,but Na to Siddon Dey look sha

Na my prediction be that
I may be wrong but Awoniyi will likely score more than osimhen this season
Make we dey look sha

Simmy did it last season playing for a relegation bound team, didn't he?
Was it Juve or Inter?

Some of us here seem to agree that Kelechi is a 20 goals a season striker
Why do we think that?
He's never scored 20 goals a season before, but we agree he can if he gets a run of games
Well, barring injury, Awoniyi will get a run of games. This time I am backing him to deliver 20+ goals
He's got 3
17+ to go
He's got all Kelechi has
I feel this is his time
Call it a hunch or something, but I am convinced

Even here some of us are not totally convinced about his displays in the SE

Awoniyi has overcome adversity, kept his head down and is now reaping the rewards, same for Osimhen and Chukwueze. Some folks want us to cut a certain Nwakali some slack..nope....he belongs to the highest level..mediocrity and excuses are not acceptable..these are his mates.

Therefore , other Awoniyi mates that couldn't make it to the are now failures , going by your line of argument ? I am happy for Awoniyi but don't use his one minute success to berate other players. Be a little patient , after all , Awoniyi has being struggling for many years to prove his mettle.

Chukwueze don enjoy football abeg ,it’s just left for him to improve

Osimhen was even the one that faced little challenges at Wolfsburg

Trials Na normal thing for all players

Mind you ,chuks was not signed to play for Villareal first team ,he was signed for their team B and his hard work and talent brought him to the first team

Kelechi is a 20 goal a season striker ,you can tell by him scoring 12 epl goals with limited time

When I said 20 goal a season I meant in the league and not all competition ,but since you are going by all competition, iheanacho scored 19 goals in all competition last season so Wetin be 20 ?

Iheanacho is a 20 league goal a season striker

Okay,
Sadiq Umar will create or operate as a creative forward. (This is why i value him because of his creativity and versatility and not just the league he is in)
Taiwo Awoniyi will come in from the wings. He sometimes plays in the wings for his club
Osimhen will play as top 9 and sometimes drift to the wings
Iwobi, nwakali, eze or whoever will be in midfield to supply the passes and creativity.

Rohr can try this option in a friendly or if we qualify for the world cup
with matches to spare, he can try it in that kind of needless match

Bro, you can't play Osimhen and Awoniyi as RF and LF...even if you have Sadiq as a 9. You did one person comfortable in tight spaces and above average dribbler.
Never mind that, but it would also impact the midfield. The likes of Aribo would literally run into those front 3 lol.
When Uruguay did that, they had way more balance. Cavani - Forlan - SUAREZ had it all.

Nacho is a better finisher than Awoniyi. Taiwo could get 20 goals depending on how Union uses him.

Since its a projection, I'd say this is very very possible. Positioning seems to be his latest trick. That's enough to get double figures.

Dear Nairalanders Battleground FPL participants,

Succumbing to popular demand, I am going to make some changes to our league in order to make things more competitive and rewarding. The league has been popular and its popularity keeps growing!! We now have 54 teams in the league.

The idea of including performance based incentives has been suggested right from when this league was formed in the 2019/2020 season and this will now be phased in.

To enable this however the following steps will be taken:

1. All participants must first of all identify their teams on here. Simply drop response to this post with your team name and I will keep a spreadsheet linking your nairaland moniker with your FPL team name.

2. Entry fees and and prizes will be communicated in my next post.

3. Those members who do not wish to continue in the league due to these changes will be allowed to leave or removed by a date to be advised shortly.

Thanks everyone!
