Hi everyone. I’m currently looking for a business idea that requires a startup capital of less than 10m. I currently live in Germany but shuttle frequently between Germany and Abuja and looking to start up something. I thought a lot about what I could start up but I cant get any concrete idea so I'm hoping I'll get better ideas from people on here. Thank you.. P.S For personal reasons,I am not interested in real estate, cryptocurrency or agriculture. |

Yes, this is a scam free biz as any form of payment or transaction remains between u and the registered company. i can be on a payroll or commission, whichever suits you. Added advantages: i have some good business raport with two top Nigeria bank branch managers and betting shop owners which will be stress free to convince them to patronize us. I disagree with the opinion above, if you shuttle between Germany and Nigeria I think you will be better off investing in other business with concrete agreement than looking to start in your own. Start up is not beans and it requires adequate and physical monitoring. The issue with most Nigerians is that we lack trust but with good agreement and for example a corporate account of which you are a signatory to but to say you want a business that you won't be around 247, na the same thing we still dey talk o. |

Bbinc: The default business for most Nigerians living in Germany is trade in Used items. I must say that this is not a bad investment if you are the slow, steady and risk averse investor. For medium term purposes you could consider specialization where all you need to do is concentrate on specific products that you would be identified with over time. I've had the privilege of advising a few people along this path and it has worked wonderfully well. Please note that there are also embedded challenges in the business. You could ship used tyres and other car components from Germany regularly (these are prohibited items but there are ways and you could be guided...a willing Nigerian lady could act as your guide. She lives in Koln). You could aggregate and then ship crockery and cutlery in large volume. A great market exists for this particular product. I've done this personally before. A large restaurant sold me their entire used items inventory. A popular restaurant in Stuttgart (two outlets; Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof and one at Marienplatz). Wonderful business. The above are a few examples. Several more exist.....but ultimately, your sales and marketing strategy for these items must be different from the what other run-of-the-mill traders are doing. Desist from offloading in Odioluwo or any other warehouse for that matter and selling off for peanuts. Visit Karlsruhe, there is usually a used trade fair in their messe. It's tagged 'Resale'. You could be pleasantly surprised. May I also added here that your best eye-opener is your attendance of the varied and many fairs that hold in that country. Ultimately, your sojourn in Germany should lead you in the direction of something really big like a franchise or a licence for production here in Nigeria. Check out the big brands. I have been working on a few for some years now but my progress suffered a huge setback with the pandemic. We are however back on course. daddytime: If well managed distribution is the best business model for any risk averse investor in a an economy that is already hurtling downwards. It's even better of you are dealing with consumables. There is however a new and improved model of distribution that pays even better than the model used by our forebears. Seek it out, adopt it and enjoy at least 20% net returns weekly. It's a lot of work though but the returns are irrevocably guaranteed. |
