Hi there,

Do you have up to 3 years work experience? If yes, look into the express entry route to becoming a permanent resident. There is a thread here on Nairaland. The federal skilled workers thread.

All the best
Wow HONORABLE CHOCS, cheesy

Just relax okay. Correspondence Letter is a Final step in the journey. The trick is, if you get correspondence letter and it takes more than 48days( without holidays) and you haven't got any other letter, then the letter that will come later must be PPR. There is usually no delay whatsoever in posting Refusal. So, go and start your Preparations.

Amen thanks so much for the positivity. I would be praying and hoping for a positive response

Good day all,
I have a degree in industrial mathematics since 2002 and been working as an I.T professional (Networking) since 2004 till date
I am thinking of applying for an I.T course in Canada (Cyber security undergraduate Diploma 2 years) though I have not done any course on network security before.

My questions
1) Will visa officer think Diploma is lower than my current degree?

2) Does this Diploma Cyber security show path progression for me?

3) Can that 2years Diploma Cyber security give me 3years Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) in Canada.

4) Will I be able to use this Diploma Cyber security to pursue my Permanent Residence (PR) after completion.

5) Do Diploma Cyber security get one job in Canada easily.

Thanks for your time and I will like whoever that have information on this experience of Degree holder applying for Diploma (ordinary diploma) and got visa to help with the response.

I won't be making another payment for this semester till I get my visa application decision ,I am suppose to resume on the 7th of September, up till now no visa decision application I made since last year October 31st
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by MEDOLAB: 2:44pm On Aug 21, 2021
I recently tried to make payment through form A to Conestoga college using Western Union International Student pay solution through first bank. The payment was declined. I was informed by First Bank that they can not make payment to third party that the payment has to go to the school directly.

Has anyone encountered similar issue and what is the way out please?

Wow, really.,? I thought you only reapply for study permit if you change DLI after approval..

Benquip:

I am yet to defer the second year because I was told I would have to reapply for study permit
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Teenie19(f): 3:09pm On Aug 21, 2021
Makes sense not to pay at the moment. It’s also good the school has a fill a return to study form. I suggest you wait and see what happens by ending of this month to make your final decision. I really hope you get your PPR asap! Stay encouraged!

Benquip:

No update on my application, I submitted my application May 6 2021 I am to commence semester 3 year 2 this fall but as I am yet to get a decision I don't wanna pay school fees again and get a negative response so I considered deferment or withdrawal as the school said then I will come back and fill a return to study form.

Hello, I am applying for a student visa but my brother is my sponsor and he has a dollar account with Bank of America. However, he is presently in Nigeria and he can only generate the statement of account for his bank in America online, my question is will the statement generated online be accepted by the Canadian embassy? Or must he visit his bank in America to get it and sign as it is done in Nigerian Banks? Please anyone who has used a statement of account from another country please assist me before I submit it. Thanks

Try other banks. I had that experience with them too. I tried 2 different branches, it was the same story.

1. It's your choice If you want to do medical first.
2. No it mustn't be IOM Ikeja you could use IOM Abuja or Qlife Lagos.
3. Not sure but I know you could use two direct relations but I don't know if you can use more.
The guru's on this group would give you a better explanation for number 3 question.

Good evening everyone, I graduated earlier this year, and my certificate and Statement of Results isn't out yet. I'm going for another BSc (totally different field and due to personal reasons), so in order to explain study gap, since those aforementioned documents aren't out yet, Can I upload all my Tuition receipts and course forms as proof of enrolment (for study gap purposes only) along with a letter of explanation to explain my reason? Since I'm not going for Masters or postgraduate studies ?

Winter clothes, thick clothes, long sleeves, clothes for raining season as well. And for summer too
She could also get one winter jacket but she would have you get another one when she lands in Canada cause the Nigerian winter jacket would just not do.
Carry a lot of Nigerian foods like: crayfish, pepper soup spices, spaghetti, okazi leaves, dry pepper etc but make sure they are properly dry.
Carry toiletries.
You should also get a universal charger as well. It cheaper in Nigeria.
If it’s a female carry plenty wigs, attachments
Male: clippers as well
Basically hair stuffs.
Pack more of sneakers.
I think that’s basically all I know.
You can check YouTube. A lot of Nigerians in Canada recommended things you should bring and things you should not bring.
Hope I was able to help?
