obiekunie01: My brother i have family members in Italy & Uk, they tell me of the large protests against the vaccines in these countries. Same thing going on in Australia, France, Canada etc. Mainstream media is not showing it at all, so that people will think everyone is complying. Did you see the veritas video of the secret recording of a manager at cnn, where the guy said, most of the Covid_19 numbers are false, that they only increase it to manipulate people into taking the vaccines. Its a shame that most African fact checkers will fall victim of this deadly vaccines. These people have been planning mass depopulation and guess the continent they want to hit hard the most. Let people like you and me continue to speak out and wake people up. Those that will wake up will wake while those that love death will still take the vaccines. Its very hard to stop a monkey from eating poisoned banana. 2 Likes |

bluefilm: No doctors in your family?... immediate or extended.... They will tell you stories.... stories that touch. Not all these ignoramuses you find talking nonsense on social media. I know medical professionals, doctors even a couple of medical directors that have passed on from Covid here in Nigeria not to talk about ordinary folks. At a point in time last year it was every week. A lot of unreported cases in Nigeria because by our nature we keep medical challenges private. Anyone has a right to a life or death the way he wants but if your loved ones go out day after day into the thick of these battles no one will tell them to get vaccinated.to keep you safe and no one will tell you to get vaccinated to stay alive. I am fully vaccinated and all my adult family members. We are tired of stories that touch and are all doing fine. |

filleSouriante: The thing is, more than 50 percent of Nigeria's population have at one time contracted the virus and recovered without knowing, some deaths are even as a result of the virus. But given the similarity in its symptoms with flu, most people are not aware. More over, people tend to downplay the virus due to inefficiency of the country's health care facilities coupled with the handling of virus by the governments. By and large, na grace of God and Insha Allahu we dey bank on... 1 Like |

Xilsbridalhouse: Well, I experienced it a great deal...but I don't know if it was as a direct result of Covid 19...because I attributed mine to the long period of lockdown, coupled with the loss of 2 jobs at the time...with piling bills. So naturally I got my groove back after things became normal. But some medical experts over here are of the opinion that, most, if not all Covid 19 survivors don't really get over it completely; it leaves something mild or chronic behind (temporarily or permanently). So yes, depression, dementia, psychosis and stroke, are some of the lasting residues of Covid. Please seek help if it is getting out of control. I wish you the very best |

humberjade:Thank you so much. After I recovered, I realized I didn’t want to do anything, like I was just sad and the things I love doing didn’t interest me anymore. Infact Nairaland became really boring to me, my business didn’t intrigue me anymore, movies too etc so I knew something was wrong, did a google search and figured it was due to the Covid, the aftermath effects. Thank God I read that article, I learnt a lot and how to quickly recover from the depression by making sure you do things you used to love even though your brain or body doesn’t wants it. It was really God all through anyways. |
Re: Rev. Jesse Jackson, Wife Jacqueline Hospitalized For COVID by humberjade: 5:37pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Xilsbridalhouse: Yeah, it can only be God. And yes, I have read similar comments on different forums too...especially losing interest in what use to fascinate them. "...making sure you do things you used to love even though your brain or body doesn’t want it". I agree totally with this...I think you should try more physical relationship with people...friends, kids, husband, and family in general. Being physically alone breeds depression. Try stuffs that make you laugh (watch a lot of comedy skits/movies). Engage in new intriguing activities if you have the time and means. The fact that you accept that you feel depressed, and you are looking for ways to defeat it.. are the first two bold steps towards recovery...Shows you are a fighter, hence, you will definitely overcome it soonest. Keep fighting, you shall overcome. |
Re: Rev. Jesse Jackson, Wife Jacqueline Hospitalized For COVID by Xilsbridalhouse(f): 5:47pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
humberjade:Thank you so much! I have actually overcame it long ago, but I just feel this should gain more awareness so people don’t accept this as a new way of life instead of fighting this. I think I know someone who is currently going through a lot mentally after she fell Ill, but she isn’t sure if what she had was Covid. But after the illness, she has been feeling really depressed. Thanks a lot for your advice. |

Re: Rev. Jesse Jackson, Wife Jacqueline Hospitalized For COVID by humberjade: 6:11pm On Aug 22, 2021 |
Xilsbridalhouse: You are most welcome! I am glad to know you defeated it....and happy you are trying to help another friend overcome it... your own experience and how you overcame it should be motivating for the sister in question. Depression is depression, whether Covid related or not, it is a silent killer...and should be tackled heads on. Very loud conspiracy theorists are the reason people are not taking Covid seriously...all we can do is to sensitize people in our own little ways and hope it goes a long way. And as for depression...a lot of people live in self-denial...while some are too spiritual, hence, they don't play their own part in overcoming it, instead, they leave it all to God....Heavens help those who help themselves. It is well sis! |
