Step up to Uber you say?
Uber stopped paying compensation when I made a complain this year.
Uber would have been history if not for moove, yet they are still doing anyhow.
Absolutely right... They stopped it since last year even not this year... In fact Immidiately after the corona virus they stopped it along with the 3% after 20 trips.

Its seems uber is yet to recover from that 3% promo they did because a lot of drivers cash out that period.

Omo out of frustration, I had to come to an agreement with the mechanic to manage it to my destination ND come back the next day for a fix. My rider's load was still in the car. Guys your input is needed. I need to change my AC compressor. The follow come is automatic. Butb@s advised by dru23, it is better I get same automatic replacement. Lal the ac technicians I talked to are suggesting manual. They said I may not get genuine automatic.

For those who have changed from follow come to manual before, abeg come share your experience and advice.

I remember when I changed compressors years back, but I I had issue with vibration and belt pulling too.

Always preferable u change to d factory-fit automatic in ur car but if that is not available u can convert to manual. It still works fine, but AC will not regulate like the automatic, this will lead to more load on ur engine and increase fuel consumption and wear. That's all.

My oga I was thinking enh... Don't you think it's time the mod closes this thread and make part2 of it because the rate at which newbies are coming up with repeated questions that have severally been attended to it will make you wonder the volume of research they'll have to go through before getting an answer to their questions. For this fact I just thought it will be wise to close this very one and then start a fresh one with part2 so that a new era can commence because most of the monikers are not even active anymore and again a newbie can go quote a post made 2/3yrs ago without even knowing it's long gone.

What do you guys think about this?

Ìkòkò tí yio je ata ìdí rẹ̀ á gbóná. D pot wey go eat pepper, d yansh go feel fire.

This issue no need prolonged arguments, you want to drive all day and make 40K to 50K. It is possible just know that your body and your car go suffer am.

The only reason that i will drive from 5am to 11:30pm everyday na if i collect the car on rental and i get target to drive like 6 months straight and drop the vehicle.

Car wey i buy for personal use, i can’t try such with it. Forget say you dey make money, after 2 yrs na you go wonder say shey my car be this?

I started this bizness full time with 07 camry CE in 2016 when uber dey pay well, joined bolt 2017. I work like mad fast forward to 2019 the camry just say oto geh.

Sold camry add some money buy toks corolla 07, since then i don make up my mind. Offline trip majorly and some metered trips cos na you go suffer your loss alone after you don drive all around lagos.

Some of my guys wey dey chill around hotels for ajao estate, they will say they can’t do e hailing cos to them na shit. One trip in a day they fit see 50K if hotel guest wan commot, the other day fit dry but at least they know say dia car dey parked and resting.

Las las all man for himself, whatever decision you make na you go enjoy the outcome. This group na to share experience not to shut anybody down or look down on each other.

Please wey angryigboman? i miss that guy analysis. E.g offline to Badagry 25Million naira lol
Nice points...
U will not drive the car forever, it has worked its money x5. Drop it and buy another one.
Even private use sef go still pack up after some years.

But if u scatter partner car come think say u go enjoy ur own, u lie o.

Hi everyone, someone so close to me just made a very very grievous mistake. I need some help.

He went for a VISA enquiry at a Travel Agency at Allen, ikeja not quite long ago & somehow forgot all his travel & educational documents in a Red Corolla car.

According to him, he requested for a ride, while waiting for the cab to show up, he made some calls & totally lost himself to the conversation, that he failed to verify the ride when a red corolla parked beside asking him for direction.
He said he thought that was his ride & boarded it till he figured out, it was a wrong cab.
Immediately, he realised , he alighted but forgot to take his documents along.
The only thing he remember is that; the man is an Hausa man who drives a Red Corolla.
He went to MTN office at Allen for help , they said their CCTV camera has stopped working.

Please help me paste it on Group WhatsApp.
Please!
He should go to wazoba fm and other popular FM to log in a complain most time people go their to drop things like this when they can't trace the real owner.

He should also pray that driver is not angryiboman else na inside lagoon him document go don reach like this.

My problem if the problem too much just carry your car go mama shop for Lekki or contact Dmechy for the original part I believe he'll get you a good one with warrantee. But radautoworks will fix it well for you with 6month or 1yr warrantee I guess... Just call and confirm... That's where I fixed a car the last time and compressor is still working perfectly.

If the manufacture wanted the compressor to be manual or felt manual was much better .. They would have install all manual compressor instead of automatic ........If a manufacture had automatic compressor in all their cars generation , they must be a reason for that .........

Parts like a/c compressor, alternator, fan belt etc all have a life span .. Some are good till about 100k miles or more before replacement.... A manual compressor will over work the engine and causing more damage in the long run ... It is never ok to use a manual to replace an automatic.........And I will not advice anyone to do so ........And yes a manual might last longer than automatic at the expense of your engine.......

I don't have two heads.. I have never used a manual compressor in any of my cars at all... I always use genuine a/c freon gas at all times to prevent my compressor from damaging ....... If any of compressor fails me I just order it on eBay from a low mileage car......

Now certain states that don't have hot weather year round, meaning that drivers don't use a/c all the time . their compressor tend to last longer than states that have hot weather year round.....

How did you tyen managed it to riders destination?

Was the trip suppised to be a round trip?

That pump they sold to you is not tok but was worked on this is the sane thing I told you to do on your own that spoilt just leave those guys go to spare part market yourself you'll see where they repair it... Get it fix and put it back or manage the one there and return back to Lagos.

To get a tok pump in those region is not easy... All of them buy from Lagos directly so most of the once you'll get is refurbished... And they're good in fixing it a lot over there.

Shine yiur eyes oooh... If not those boys go chop your eyes

So today I parked my car at a the end of a bustop on ozumba, clearly away from oncoming traffic and even away from buses trying to use the bustop. I had pulled over to check my engine, so the hood was up.

Next thing I know, one lasma guy from nowhere came to my back and said “bros lemme talk to you”, I said okay, but I briefly looked back, that’s how I saw tow truck reversing towards my car.

Since 1 + 1 = 2, I figured they were trying to tow my vehicle, so I ran back to the car, put my hood down and entered the car. That’s how the tow guy too was trying to enter my car, omo, the way I zoomed off ehn. Plus my hand was already on my pepper spray in case he made it in, I would have knacked him 2 sprays right in the eye balls.

I just don’t know how it became illegal to troubleshoot your car on the road when it has car issues. I am all for law and order, but haba! So if it was a serious car problem, is that how they will just come tow my car, instead of offering assistance? Naija is the most useless country known to man.

Some of these things are technological improvements for better efficiency, doesn't mean d old version will do harm or will not work.
In this case of AC automatic or Manual compressor...like I said it's better he replaces with automatic but in d absence of that or if he can't afford d automatic, d manual will work just fine. Albeit, with limitations compared to d automatic one.
I am contributing because I have experienced it. My Corolla 08 AC had issue about 5yrs ago, mechanic didn't even know it was switch problem, he condemned my automatic compressor and installed a manual one. Manual one didn't work also, until he discovered it was AC switch that was d problem. Long story short, d manual compressor is still what is in the car till today, thats Wifey's car, Berger to Lekki everyday.

At the bolded...I like that idea...but are we guaranteed that a compressor bought in New York was used in New York all its life or maybe it was ripped off a car that was used in Texas all it's life? We can never know.

Guys please help me with this issue

I had a trip today to lekki, and when we got to the destination the rider told me to wait and then we now headed to ikoyi.

I was shocked when I saw that the bill was just N1,500, why?

Did bolt not calculate the second trip?

Or should I have ended the first trip and started another trip?

I’m soooooo confused
