Doctors are responsible for the failed healthcare system in Nigeria. Most times I read propaganda news how Doctors are leaving in numbers but reality shows it is not funny passing overseas exams. The Headline should be Doctors maladministration killed another Doctor.

The Dr even got a salary raise at the new job and wasn't jobless after all. His desire for career pursuit is a natural human trait to all who wants the best out of life. His failure at it is not linked to the poorly narrated story!

It's easy to condemn someone like Dr. Obafemi if you haven't been in a similar situation. I have, maybe still am.
To him, there was no more hope, the PLAB was his last hope. Failing it made him even worse than before (he's now in unrepayable debt). People won't give up as long as there's hope. Hopeless is the killer.

Still, may we all look for the strength not to give up.

RIP to the doctor but he should have held on the new job at cadacrest hospital that gave him new job and increased salary by 30k to earn 150k as junior doctor and if he must go abroad he should not have taken loan but worked and saved till when sudficent to handle the expenses. And he should have been patient and not be in a hurry to leave for abroad since the examination is expensive and not guaranteed to pass , finally he should have granted an interview of posted on socila media on topic how I saved the first son and got sacked for saving his life. Destiny helpers might have located him in due time but there is destiny and fate, what will be will be.

This has to do more with the greediness of Nigerian doctors and their lack of professionalism. Even if they give Nigerian doctors 1 million as salary they would not still be satisfied.

This story doesnt add up.

Probably the govt secret intelligence agents killed obafemi to conceal a classified information he stumbled on.

Probably yusuf was high on coke on the night of the accident which the doctor discoverred which restrained him from carrying out normal medical procedures. This would be a big scandal for the presidency if it leaks so the govt sends it secret dogs to contain the situation by eliminating the doctor and making it look like suicide. Probably!

Hmm, I had two options to read Medicine and Chemical Engr from my grades back in my school cert... I don't really know what pushed me to read chemical. With this, I have no regrets
