Good Morning Nairalanders.

Can a budget of N6million set up Men’s standard Boutique in Ikeja? If it can, I will like to know a detailed breakdown of the likely costs/expenses.

You definitely can, starting from rent at a chioced location, that generate traffic, it's has to be spacious enough to accommodate goods, so we should be looking at#500k,# 800k ,#200000

Hmmm Nice. Thanks for Tha swift response and insight... So if i want to start now with 500k capital, i can start by getting Generators, standing and ceiling fans then some other minor things and then add like 2 to 3 pieces of 32 inches TV right?

Also, where exactly can i get the goods as a beginner Sir? Is it at same Alaba after I finish registering with them? Thanks sir

Yes you buy from Alaba most of the companies too have office too there.

But as a beginner you buy from importer at Alaba market .

I can give you an importer whom I buy from at chepa price in Alaba.

Waste of money if you ask me . Considering how much you'd pay for rent , advert, cost ( salary of staffs & theft inclusive) & business Development.
Take that 6m and shop for 3 Toyota 2004 Corolla & Camry cars on Copart. Import & clear them, add 150-250k on them for sale.
Tell your Vulcanizer /mechanic to find buyers or put it on your social media pages.
Within 1-2weeks, you'll have made almost 600k profit on that investment.
Add money to it & reinvest your profit. You can never go wrong with Toyota cars (especially Corollla & Camry) in this present day naija.

If you want to go through the hire purchase route, import & clear them. Do the paper works (comprehensive insurance inclusive). Put it on Nairaland, Uber Taxify page .
Many people would declare their interest. Do your due diligence ( get an army officer involved) before giving out your car.
Ask for intial downpayment of 300-500k and put it on hire purchase adding 300-500k profit on it. Compound that for 2years.
If the driver breach your contract, you can retrieve your car & sell it for good money. It is Toyota.
With comprehensive insurance, you wouldn't have to worry about accident, as insurance coy would come thru. It may take time but you will be glad you insured your car.

Na soap i cut for you o.

This my man from the Uber thread!... wink na better soap you cut give am, ahswear. How I go take reach you? I need more insights on this

Kindly ignore with all your strength. Boutique business will keep you busy, stands as guarantee, source of continuous revenue and you will destiny is definitely in your hand unlike that use car imports and Uber businesses

You don't know anything yet you're feigning your ignorance on my mention. How many boutiques have stood the test of time say 5-6years in Lagos despite the investment put in? Except you go into branding like David Wej or making clothes like Seyicasual, you'll just be scratching the surface.

Have you ever thought about other investors, who would come to your shop & size up your market & improve on it by opening another larger shop on the same street you have your business thereby send you out of business or reduce your customers ?
Have you ever thought about dowdowntimes, where there would be low sales which could result in not being able to meet up with his rent & salaries?
Have u thought about that?
Have you thought about other factors like loosing his shop to fire outrage or theft (Do you read about the End Sars protest where shop were looted) ? Don't you read? Are you in Nigeria?
Go out there and do your feasibility studies before you pee on my mention.
If you Do your research about Copart, you'll know that your money is safe as long as they confirm your payment. Few months ago, their yard got burnt & alot of people fell victim, someone so close to me got a refund. It took months but he got his money back.
As the exchange fluctuates, so shall your price & market sales fluctuates.
Read & do your research my friend!

You don't need a carlot to import cars, just do your due diligence, have a trusted ally that can inspect it for you in the US & get a competent Clearing Agent do the business for you in Naija.
You won't regret it. Do Toyota Corolla & Camry for starters, you'd be glad.

Air conditioner, etc. For a standard boutique) a milion or more, depending on your taste. Then if you are comfortable with the interior/exterior, then you start sourcing for good quality men clothes, pants trouser, jeans, Chino's. Shirts of various grades. Shoes and slides of different grades. Then you know you in business. You can connect me if you need more information on WhatsApp Bravemen image consult 08028964670.

6million can never be enough for such business because:
1.Money for shop rent per year is between the range of 250k and above for this business you need a big one so you have to budget 500k or more for that
2.For this business you have to consider men's fashion in Vogue and since yahoo boys have made everything so costly I will advice you have up to 15million to run it successfully

bakesntakes:
I think 6 million is good enough.

You can get a shop for 700k yearly
Repairs, carpentry works, Electrical & electronics setup, furnitures -(1m should cover everything that needs to be fixed and setup)

Mannequins #200,000 for about 40 pieces

The rest would go into getting authentic wears (shoes, bags, hats, shirts, trousers, belts, etc)

You can get Authentic wears at Eko market or online from international stores online.

I have a plug in Eko market that deals in high grade wears, and I know a couple of online stores that you can get Authentic stuffs.

6million is a great budget

If you need more information, let me know.

I’m certain you meant 4 mannequins not 40.

I did say come Down to ikorodu area you did be shocked at how lowly people perceive that place in lagos, but interestingly that's where the cash cows re.just make ur boutique a standout size and clothes like museum, price won't be a problem for the boys here.if you know you know !!!ikeja is saturated

Sweden is cool but i doubt if you will be able to survive the racism there plus it usually take a longer period for you to get documented if you over stay

Jesus I am not familiar with Lagos Terrain .

When I wanted to start my electronics shop .

I spent 460k to 500k cos I built the shop myself from scratch since the landlord do not have the funds .

We now use the amount as 5years payment plan with monthly payment of 5k.

I spent about 80k on shop design which include bill board that lastest fancy plastic billboard used by boutique guys now cost about ,100k for the iron one.

Went to Alaba and registered with electronics companies with my CAC .

I used just ,500k as a capital startup then . And within 2years I bought my first car.

The main thing is make sure u ask from who know road on best places to buy the good cheaply that way u did save a lot of money.

Cheers and wish you success

You can't go into Europe and come back within 3yrs,in that 3yrs you are about to settled down that is if you have papers but if no paper bro, your frustrations is about to begin.
Why do you think people spend up to 15yrs before Dem show face for naija?

i will advise you seek for help in developing that plot into what you want, you can start with even 1 sefcon first and continue building others before you know it you are done with it.
Create a thread or look for investment thread here i am sure some people will reach out to you of they see prospect in that investment.
shallom

You don't get it, I don't plan to settle in Europe and become a citizen. Nigeria is my home. All I am going there to do is just work and save up.
I'll give you suggestion a shot bro, thanks man.
