Haven’t driven one yet but I own the 2008 G35X.

I just don’t know if it’s me but I’m always smiling in that ride.

I haven’t had any reason to source for parts but you must take car of that ride and be ready to use only quality fluids and parts.

Let us know what you finally get
I've always wanted to get the G35/37. But i have been discouraged by the bad reviews i got from some people. Please tell me. Hows the interior quality and whats the difference in fuel economy and maintenance requirements compared to 08Es350/Gs350 and 09 TL?

If fuel economy is your priority then pls avoid G35/37, TL, GS350. You'd cry and be disappointed. Those things aren't merciful with fuel. Infact avoid V6 since you're talking about fuel economy. That Lexus ES350 you also mentioned consume more fuel than regular 4 Cylinders. Stick with your yaris or Suzuki or whatever!

Maintenance doesn't come cheap either. Parts aren't common on the G35/37, Gs350 and TL. They're not your everyday regular cars. These are premium sport sedans.

I come in peace!

If you observed my post, you should have noticed that they are all V6s. What I'm asking is the difference in fuel consumption cuz i heard g35/g37 are way much more. Are we saying like twice or thrice the consumption of TL and es350/gs350? Same with maintenance headaches.
Also how hard is it shipping parts when needed. Thank you

No body talks big V6 3,500cc (min.) with 250+ hp, 250+ib.ft, and kerb mass of 3500+ ibs and talk fuel economy.
What folks talk is refinement, acceleration ease of repairs and agility when they talk about such engines.

My brother the G25x powers sucks.. It does not pick up fast at all .....

I bought the car at dealer auction.. I wasn't expecting to win it based on my budget.. The car was neatly very neatly used ... I believe it was a trade in .. The car was super clean .......

So before bidding for the car .. I drove it a bit and I was wondering why the car is not making that turbo sound..

My previous car was a Nissan Altima ser .. They don't make them anymore . it was made from 2005 and 2006... So I was addicted to the speed and turbo sound of the ser. So I was expecting it from the g25x thinking it was a g35× ...

So after winning the bid and drove the car home.. I notice it was not fast at all like my Nissan Altima ser .. I thought something was wrong with the car ..... So when I finally got home . I now did a 360 look around of the car .. I now saw the G25x logo and than Google it .. I than find out that it only has about 206hp . I almost cried .. I was very upset at myself.....for people that like speed like me, I would not advice them to get it.......

The take off speed is very embarrassing and it seems lite on the highway.. It is a smaller engine . but once the speed picks up ... Am hoping to get a 2011 upwards g37Xs if I can find a good deal ...

So stick to the G35 or G37 from 2010 upwards.. Get the sport version.. It is much faster over 300hp.. Fun cars...

I can imagine.

What “bad reviews” do you get and from who? The G35/37 continually receive great reviews from users in Canada and US and I’m sure you can guess why? Maintenance culture.

If you’re getting reviews from those users in Nigeria that never scan their cars or swim in a pool of water or use Conoil to service their G35/G37, then I have no comment to make.
By the way, listen to what kingreign said about fuel economy and parts.

I’m loving my G35X daily.

Absolutely, no one does.
You can’t eat your cake and have it. If you want a v6 with a balance of fuel economy, then get e Lexus IS250 or G25X and relax.
You can even get an i4 and let us have peace.

Infiniti never used turbo in their G25 series pls.
That said, that car is by no measure light weight. It's 3534ibs which when converted to kg is 1,602kg. It's heavier than a Camry V6 2010 which weights in at 3,516ibs or 1,594kg.

When I bought the car I thought it was the g35x .. I didn't know it was a g25x .. I didn't know even know Infiniti even made g25x...... Plz read it again......
And when I mean turbo . I mean the deep sound the exhaust makes when u start the start the car or when u step on the gas to fast .......

Now the G25x is very light compare to other fast cars have driven .. The handling of the car on top fast is no so good... .. The car starts to shake a bit and I don't feel am in full control ...... And the g35 or g37 has a better handling and much heavier on the road.......

Now my old Nissan Altima ser was heavier and has more of a sport drive mode... I feel more in control on top speed.. It has 260hp compare with g25x of about 220hp ......now compare that with g35 or g37 with 300hp........

The g25x sucks in that speed category. Poor handling.....

I envy you grin my Nissan Altima Ser was a joy to drive daily.. That car was fast and I first bought it it came with summer tires with stock 17in wheels.. It was fun to drive ....i use to race the g35x on the road.. Those g35 guys will just look me and drive pass by with ease.........
And the g35 are easy car to maintain ....very easy and cheap to maintain......

There's obviously something wrong with that specimen you got. G25x shares parts with its bigger, faster siblings which which are very stable and feels very planted and has very near perfect weight distribution. The only thing that is lighter is the engine and I think give and take, its no more than 50kg.

Lol...... That car my brother ... There was nothing wrong my brother.. Nothing to fix when I bought no check engine light.. Nothing at all ...... The car was clean as a whistle.. It pass inspection with flying colors........

The car was dealer trade in ... Dealer sticker was still on it. Maintain by the dealer..no single scratch on the car...no rust at all ...... I didn't believe I was even going to get the car that is to show you how clean the car was......it drives well in the snow...nice car .. But na 218hp ... I went from driving 260hp to 218hp .. Am going backwards now .. Think am

Plz get it don't be discourage. Those cars are easy to maintain.... Very fun to drive.. The samething people said about the Fx models......

People don't know how to maintain cars .. That is there major problem......people want cars that they can easily abuse like Toyota .......the interior of the g35 is very nice .. I like it alot.. The seats are very comfortable

I'm not really discouraged though. Just trying to increase my budget for the 2010 g37 as i heard its more reliable than 2008 G35hr.
I'm more concerned about how parts sourcing will be for 2010 G37 compared to 2008 g35 and diffence in cost of parts and maintenance

For the fuel economy. You guys are totally misunderstanding me. I am not concerned about fuel economy as i know very well that V6 consumes alot. I am only comparing the V6 of G35/37 to its competitiors

It is low maintenance luxury car .. If you have the money to buy it .. You should have the money to maintain and source for the parts......
If you take good care of it . you wouldn't have to change parts that much .. And I also imports things like engine oil . parts etc .. You can also hit me up if u need parts......

I get your point.

The G35 comes with 306hp and the G37 with 330hp.
Coming from your particular Nissan to your G25X will definitely affect your driving because of your love for speed.
So, I totally get it when you talk about the weight, speed, acceleration and exhaust note.

To compensate for this, I suggest you get a G37XS if you can.

By the way, all you think you lost in terms of performance on the G25X, you surely have them in beauty, aesthetics and attention.

This has become my custom when those GLK350 guys, ES350, C350 guys want to fool themselves.

One guy using a 2005 Corolla S or so wanted to hear the exhaust note of my car. So, I gave him more than that and kept him like 100m at my back then later allowed him to get close enough to at least get a name to remember and research on when he gets home. I don’t even want to mention those guys driving Toyota Sienna or maybe 2008/2009.

For a Japanese, I can tell you that the interior build including leather, steering, gear knob, sound system and infotainment of the 2008 Infiniti G35X beats those you’ll find in a Lexus ES350 of same year as well as the Acura TL and Mercedes C350 of same year.

The g25x is a step down from g35.. So it wouldn't come with 1 or 2 things with the bell and whistle of a g35....

And Bose are top notch of stereo system for cars and home system.. They are expensive too....either way it is a top notch system to get ......

Beats by Dre .. Were trying to do that for some cars.. I don't think it went well ... Good marketing strategy .. But I don't think people went crazy for it
