Had mine at Apaaka High school Vandekiya Benue state.
My very first day at the school I was sad.
I actually cried cos it was a village school without basic amenities. Luckily the principal was around. He told me if i dont want to work in his school there's no problem but that the school really needs me. He said I would enjoy it. Well I wiped my tears and return to Lagos to prepare myself for the worse.

But the experience was life changing. I taught the students mathematics and physics.. The level of poverty was unimaginable. There was no electricity in the community and water was from well, but clean.
The students don't attend school on market days which is every seven days cos they take their wares to the market. Market day was fun day. They drink without caution and prostitutes alot too.
They are however very hospitable. I drank fresh Palm wine and ate alot of fresh fruits. Food was relatively cheap, infact the student always give the teachers food stuffs from their farms.
I fell in love with some of my students such that I had to assist with their school fees and organised extra classes for them for free cos they were super intelligent.

When I had to leave they cried and so did I.. They kept me updated about their success.

Please you guys should drop where your Place Of Primary Assignment (PPA) was done and can also add how you got it and what the journey was like.

This is to show my friend who I have been arguing with that private company do take corpers as PPA. he feels they are few and it mostly government institutions which he doesn't want.

so my focus is on private coy but that shouldn't stop you if you did yours in a government establishment.

I'm actually based at Maiduguri, so I did my NYSC ahome..

Presently, servingg at NECO HEADQUARTERS, MINNA.
Initially, I was posted to one BOYS SECONDARY SCHOOL IN LAPAI but fortunately for me, my aunt is the Assistant Director, Human Resource MGT, Niger state. It was changed the same day I left camp.

Almost all Southern babes sent to far flung states would cry when they get their call up letters, cry on getting to camp, still cry when they are posted to anywhere that's not the state capital for their PPA but when service year is over some would not want to leave again because of either business, private something or one guy doing the Lords work in their life.
