If the Police had half of what the military had, this war would have long been over.

We remember vividly how 100 BHT drove a Battalion and a Support Brigade from Mubi. We knew how you guys fled Gwaoza, passed Limankara, passed Madagali, Passed Minchika and took position at Marraban Mubi.

A unit from MOPOL 27 Kastina, MOPOL 8 Jos, MOPOL 2 Lagos stood by at PMF training camp fought for 3 days with only Tear Gas, AK-47 and TYPE 06 before BHT had to use NA MBT to break thier defences.

After you guys ran away from Mubi, was it not Police that made first incursions into Mubi? Least I forget the numerous achievements of SARS Maiduguri.

Look allow the sleeping dog to sleep. Wallahi, if not for NAF, Maiduguri would have been the capital of ISWAP.

Borno: Photos of ISWAP attack on troops, civilians in Rann
The Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP) launched a major assault in Borno on Monday.

The terrorists attacked Rann, the headquarters of Kala Balge Local Government Area.

They overran a military unit and other premises in the town, located about 350km from Maiduguri, the Borno capital.

The ISWAP fighters invaded the community in large numbers shooting sporadically.

Troops, residents and humanitarian workers rushed for cover in nearby bushes. Others ran towards neighbouring Cameroon

The insurgents took about three Hilux trucks after setting other vehicles and properties ablaze.

DAILY POST gathered that a reinforcement is underway. The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is providing aerial support.

The Kaduna and Katsina states governments have joined the Zamfara state government in placing certain restrictions that is aimed at cutting off fuel and other logistics supplies to the bandits and also restrict their freedom of movement.
Already, one of the bandits leaders have threatened terror against the inhabitants of a town for not protesting against the restrictions.

More of coordinated actions among states and federal government will help in solving the problem faster.

Wrong. This one is an upgrade. Check Wikipedia. It carries a main gun. 50 caliber that is a new design. There is probably CCTV and smoke grenade dispensers. The armour is a modern type and it can take add on armour

The only good thing about that type 89, is that I can stop .50 cal bullets nothing else, the army really needs to invest in remote controlled 23mm or 30mm for accuracy and fewer shoots per kill ifv with troop carrying capabilities, not this rubbish they just bought.

Una don start all this una excuse upon excuse again grin

This is not the first time ISWAP will attack a military formation in the North East this way. The commander was suppose to have make plans for this kind of attack.

But as for me, it seems ISWAP caught them by surprise. They must have been relaxed, thinking the terrorists won't attack during the raining season... They were caught off guard grin

Make the Nigerian military stop this their arrogance, and com negotiate with people like me wey sabi, though I won't be helping for free and I will earn in US dollars cool

US military disabled 73 Afghan military aircraft before their final exit yesterday. They disabled the CRAM at the Kabul airport as well.

The aircrafts include the A29s super tucano at the Kabul airport

On a more serious note, Many of the bases in the northeast are just camps, not defensible in the face of properly coordinated attacks from multiple directions. The Military should first invest in proper defenses and defense structures, then reinforce defense training in the curriculum of training of the troops.

They captured Rann, destroyed military hardwares. If not for NAF intervention, these guys would have returned back successfully. Its pathetic how NA is finding it difficult to fight without NAF support

The same way your police can't fight common armed robbers and kidnappers

I don't know the IQ of people allowed into the force these days but if they are like you then the NPF is doomed
