It's often because of a resort to keep to standards. A university filled with students who scored less than 200 in JAMB can't be up to standard. These schools know this. Thankfully, every aspirant wants to attend them

They want to entice students. A university can only set a high cut off mark if it is situated in a relatively safe environment.
