Grgton:stop talking trash London is about 3000 km² Lagos city is far less |
| Re: Onitsha A Model For Nigerian Cities by Abohboy(op): 10:17pm On Sep 02, 2021 |
theInterpreter:Lagos city isn't far less and the map doesn't even represent the actual Lagos, In England there's London and Greater London same way there should be Lagos City and Greater Lagos City intiially it tells you 1,171 sqkm for Lagos City but if you include Ikorodu, Lekki, Epe, Ibeju Lekki, Badgary and all those small cities in Ogun State that strecth into Lagos like Ota and Agbara then Lagos is a lot larger and yes he's right size doesn't determine anything we should be able to freely compare Onitsha and Ibadan even with the difference in size and I don't understand what the problem with this thread is Onitsha built highrises to save space and other Nigerian cities will need to do the same at some point especially Lagos, Port Harcourt and Kano they cannot keep on growing outward they need to start growing upwards cities like Ibadan would benefit from the center being made of highrises and it spreads down to singular house compunds as you go further out as is seen in cities like London but in Onitsha and Lagos the whole city should essentially be highrises if you want a single house you have to leave the city centre |

Looks better? What an idiotic thing to say? What is the relevance of "looking better" . Is development about looks or functionality What looks good to one idiot will not look good to another Is there any machine that will tell us which looks better? Bottom line is Onitsha is a filthy pigsty and it has lessons only for a pig farmer |

aribisala0:Stop all these unnecessary cries. We all know that you love your shithole Ibadan, but the truth is that Onitsha like America to Ibadan. What's more PIGSTY compare to Ibadan that most of its houses that doesn't have toilets? Onitsha is a very neat organized city with decent homes compare to the unplanned fifty Ibadan that's covered with mud houses and rustic roofs. 1. Ibadan 2. Onitsha

Abohboy:Ibadan does not need dirty Onitsha style "higrises", whatever that word means We are talking of so called highrises that either use wells or boreholes with no sewage plan that stink like hell. Onitsha has a population density of over 5000/ Square kilometre. In Ibadan the number is under 500 per sq/km There is nothing like Greater Lagos and your idea that there "should be" is absurd Lagos is a city in Nigeria named same as a state like several others in Nigeria e.g Ondo Enugu Bauchi Oyo to name a few. Lagos City also was the former Federal Capital BEFORE Lagos state was created in 1967. Just like Abuja it had a federal minister. The rest of the state today used to be part of the Western Region . Lagos state has other cities like Ikeja and ikorodu |

Abohboy:You obviously don't know the meaning of "high-rise building" A simple Google search would have educated you. I doubt there's a single mid-rise building in Onitsha not to talk of high-rise.

Ibadan is about 62% the size of Anambra state . FACT I is 60 times the size of Onitsha How idiotic then is it to decide that you can compare the Onitsha with Ibadan? And the best way to do that is by posting single selected photos Even if you are that idiotic those reading are not |

The air quality in Onitsha is the worst in the Milky Way a direct consequence of Onitsha piggery model where you have pigs pretending to be humans Do not take my word for it just Google "Onitsha Air" Ibadan is about 62% the size of Anambra state . FACT I is 60 times the size of Onitsha How idiotic then is it to decide that you can compare the Onitsha with Ibadan? And the best way to do that is by posting single selected photos Even if you are that idiotic those reading are not Clearly Onitsha is overcrowded with a density of over 5000 persons per square kilometre compared to 460 for Ibadan |

aribisala0:Even from this two pictures, one could tell which is neat and a better city. Ibadan is a PIGSTY rotten unplanned town

ABlAstate:Only an idiot can do that from two pictures How come Onitsha won the award for the dirtiest air on the planet ? |
| Re: Onitsha A Model For Nigerian Cities by ABlAstate: 9:09am On Sep 03, 2021 |
aribisala0:It was not about dirt but industrial pollution, which has been taken care of. Besides that study was conducted in just the eastern region. Lagos wasn't added then. Pollution ranking changes year after year, PH, kane, Kaduna, and Lagos has been topping the list since then till now. It has little to do with filth but industrial pollution. Ibadan on the other hand is not just dirty but littered with slums. Look at this document http://www.ucl.ac.uk/dpu-projects/Global_Report/pdfs/Ibadan.pdf

| Re: Onitsha A Model For Nigerian Cities by ABlAstate: 9:21am On Sep 03, 2021 |
aribisala0:There's no basis for comparison. Ibadan a PIGSTY town littered with mud houses, ibadan houses doesn't have toilets. That's a stone age town. Tufiakwa
