The major problem with shipping using DHl is the custom charges that come with the phone which I'm the case of a phone within the price range of Xiaomi note 10 might be up to 30k or more.

There are numerous sellers on nairaland that have this phone, buying from them would be a better option of you ask me

Free shipping by AliExpress sellers means they won't add extra cost for shipping. Mind you, some free shipping are not really free. Some sellers just add the cost of shipping to the item's cost. Hence it appears as if the shipping is free.

So, AliExpress won't charge you further for shipping, but you still stand a huge chance of paying high custom duty, which has nothing to do with AliExpress, but with our ever unpredictable Nigerian customs who often attach high custom duties on most mobile phones.

You may get lucky and not get charged. No one can really tell if you may or may not be charged. A trial will surely be the best way to find out. Cheers

Most items (even if it's not a mobile phone) has some payment charged ranging from ₦200 to ₦1000 if routed via the post office. But if you get lucky and Speedaf are the guys delivering it, you'll get it for free.

That one is never a problem, the problem is the crazy custom duties

This attitude is common with "coupons" given to first time AliExpress users (given to you for your first purchase the moment you register). Items bought with this coupon are usually not shipped by the sellers, so I'm assuming the same may also happen to some serious discount on items.

But to be completely sure and so that you don't miss out on the price, you can first try to pay for the item but enter the wrong CVV2 and then click pay. The payment won't go thru but the item will be put in your "unpaid" folder with that discount price against it. Then you can chat up the seller to get his assurances that the item will be shipped to you. Your chat history screenshot will also come in handy for disputes in case the deal goes south engineered by the seller.

I have become very skeptical of the product and seller ratings on Aliexpreess as a result of the picture attached.

I know the product should be fake, as that price is impossible, but how come the seller has a 96% rating and the product is rated excellent.

Na the real china level AliExpress dey show up now. Not doing enough to protect customers. With all the orders they refund from shipping lapses, they decide to let the sellers get away with scams since it is the only way they get their commission.

It's a 50 50 chance with other shipping methods but DHL you'll almost certainly have to pay custom fee
