I'm from imo state but was posted to Abia state cos that was where I requested. I actually wanted to do my induction in Abuja there but the man in Seat during my own documentation said that he didn't have that power to post me to the north there and that I should choose another eastern state, so I had to choose Abia cos induction would be less costlier there for me than owerri

I knew early he was talking confidently out of ignorance,I left him to believe himself..
He obviously knows so very little..
Someone who claimed you'll receive exactly what's on your Apl forgot that there are even some statutory deduction that will be made.
Depends on how the salary is being stated.
If it's written in "Basic" you will receive exactly what's in your appointment letter. All the statutory deduction will reflect on your payslip. Though Payslip is very difficult to access, not all agencies issues it out, but whenever you are fortunate to access your payslip, you will notice that the amount is higher than what you are receiving. So the person is right, most occasion appointment letter contains exactly what you will receive because it usually comes with the word "Basic Salary"

Any FG employee who cares to see each item of Payment and Deductions on his payslip can do so with ease so long you are being paid through IPPIS. IT HAS NEVER BEEN A DIFFICULT THING AT ALL!

You start viewing your payslip of a particular month starting from 25th day of that same month. Sometimes, it wouldn't be ready until the first week of the subsequent month but to the best of my knowledge, IPPIS usually get your payslip ready few days before month end. For example, I viewed and downloaded my Aug payslip on the Aug. 26 and printed it out. I do that every month and keep them in a personal file for reference purpose.

Account section in your department could help access your payslip too, but why go there when you can do it on your smart phone ...ANDROID ONLY for now. I guess they are working on the version for ios.

- Go to play store and type payroll app.

- Download the one I circled in the attached pic

- Install the app, open it and follow the instructions promptly. It ll show your dash board. There are a number of icons to query whatever you wanna see about yourself.

To the newly recruited staff, your own dashboard will be blank for now but it ll surely display anything you wanna know about your service records once you receive your first salary.

Most people arguing are confusing each other because they are yet to know the difference between basic, gross and net pay.

In my second my SURNAME AND FIRST NAME was shared with someone else, the only difference was that I'm MALE with a Middle name and she's Female.

In my Senior Brothers faculty.

Same thing this time a male.

Surname and First name same, difference is he has a different middle name from mine.

The thing is just try to get affidavit and save yourself the stress cos your names supposed tally with documentation and BVN/NIN,
Nobody can deny you your job cos of that reason anyway.

Our Norther brothers can testify that more than a thousand persons can bear same 3 NAMES and that has never been a problem for them.

No allow anybody threaten you afterall your biometrics are different.

I refused to respond to them because I don't want to dignify their idiocy. One even used the word 'baga' to insult me. I just refused to respond to their disrespectful comment. I am way too cool to respond to half educated mofos.

Move on bro.. I've read many comments here .. you don't need to proof anything for them.. these guys are full of prides and won't bring their shoulders down to learn.. they are quick to throw tantrums and ready to insult anybody. Remember they are not in the system yet, explaining stuffs like this to some set of arrogant people is a total waste of time. I went through all what you wrote and if anyone is hoping for any other allowances except from the basic salary, you don't need to force them to believe, and about receiving the amount written on the appointment letter, you couldn't be more right. I'm in a sister's agency and when we received out APLs some years back, what we earns as monthly salary is what was written exactly inside our APLs when divided by 12. And this is how it's been set throughout all the agencies in the board. That's the general format because APL is not issued from any Agency for the commissioned officers, it's from the board directly and they have just one format. If anyone wants to know the actual salary before deduction then the person should visit the payslip.. but for that APL, the amount written inside is your monthly salary exactly after dividing by 12. I don't know how it works in other ministries.. but in ministry of interior, I'm definitely sure about this. Good day bro

Thanks bro

Just wait a little bit, let them through with every documentations. They will send your IPPIS to your service and it will be posted for you guys.. it's just 6 digit numbers and you can't find it inside that IPPIS slip they printed for you guys.
Moreover it's too early to enter that app atleast wait for one or two salaries to enter first. All the best

Maybe you downloaded a lower version. The latest version you ll install is 12.1

If you Install the latest version. It will ask for either the phone number or email address you registered with during your IPPIS capturing for verification. Once you enter the required information and you are verified, the app will automatically redirect to your dashboard.

I just checked the app version and it says 12.3 which was updated August of this year. I guess I'll just wait. No need to stress it. Thanks again

Your IPPIS number may not be ready now. It ll definitely be on your first payslip when you get it.

The version of the IPPIS Payroll app I use only request for your email address to verify your account.

Once you type in your correct email address you used during IPPIS capturing, It will load, verify your account and redirect to your dashboard. Like i said, your own dashboard may be blank cos you haven't been receiving salary.
