Quick one guys,

If using lithium batteries, can you retain your non-inverter AC?

Or you have to change it out to inverter ACs

I will rather retain my 1.5hp non inverter AC as the market options for inverter ACs are limited. (only LG/Hisense I think)

TCL already has an inverter AC offering. Saw their advert on Facebook few days ago. I think TCL has good predegree. Had stakes in USA owned RCA, acquired brand and technology rights of German Scheneider electronics, owned palm from hp, alcatel and also blackberry acquisition. They also have some partnership with Hisense and Samsung. So they shouldn't be so bad. However I think sourcing from experience from a previous user will be golden.

And the brutality is not limited to electricity aspect of the energy sector alone. How about the almost unaffordable prices of cooking gas these days?

Guys, how good are kartel batteries as compared to deep cycle batteries

I use 3 ACs on mine and one of them is 1.5hp non inverter AC. Lithium takes surge way better than lead acid so you will have a better experience on performance with littium.

4 units of 280AH brand new Eve LFP cells available for grabs @75k each gives total of 3.5kwh. I've got 35A 4s smart BMS as well which I could give to buyer for free

If your storage is properly size, then yes it possible start from high temperatures like 25°c first and lower as desire. IMO ... Plus with solar the stress is less on storage

All Kartel batteries are deep cycle batteries

AGM I believe and they now, they have flooded batteries.

Good evening Gurus in the house,

I seriously need your help. I have 12 units of 2V/600AH Shoto battery on a 24V system. Last night the inverter went off shortly after NEPA went of.
So this morning, I recorded the following readings on each of the batteries as shown in the pictures below.

Pls, you guys should have a look at the readings to tell me what to do as the readings on battery number 10 is abnormal

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 6:13pm On Sep 03, 2021
The battery appears dead!

If it's possible to parallel a few good ones (3-6) and parallel it with the faulty battery ... There is a slim chance that the inrush current might rejuvenate it, though unlikely but it is worth a shot

Will I parallel the battery with one battery or with (3-6) as you say.

Also, I am wondering if I could get just a single battery of that type to replace in the system.

Thanks so much

Please don't try any of drawn images

Try the image provided instead

If not working, best you try to buy from the lot you bought these ones from.

not only lg/hisense. you also have haier thermocool genpal acs which work on the same principle as lg inverter acs.
i presently have installed 1hp and 1.5hp genpal acs and they work beautifully on my inverter system.
where you run 1 conventional ac, you can replace with at least 2 or 3 genpal acs, so over time, the energy
savings is worth the additional cost.

Just go and buy a single 2v battery of similar capacity of same lot.

That is one of the advantages of 2v cells. You can change bad batteries without condemning the whole lot!!
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 6:50am On Sep 04, 2021
I haven't used it before, but appears like battery custom built to a local player,

It could be good or bad,

Maintenance culture
Most importantly the warranty claim must be very good, in case it goes bad

This morning I went and borrowed a 12V charger and I intend to connect the bad 2V battery in this format to try and force the battery to accept charge.

What do you think?

Yes I know, but. I have been able to get a 12v charger that I want to use to charge the battery.

I saw a video on YouTube describing such kind of connection.

Bros you don't need a charger, just connect good 2v cells in parallel with the one with an issue. The good one will try to charge up the one with issue....

Do you have a clamp meter? If yes take note of the current from the wire connecting the bad one, you should have some current flow else also feel the wire should be a little warm(though if your wire guage is properly sized this may not happen). If none of those is happening then maybe the battery is gone for good.....leave it for at least 12hrs just to double sure.
