Terrence99:I am only asking for the video of the cow causing an accident? What I am seeing is the cows walking on the side of the road and I don't know when the video was captured. The problem is that you are all out to paint the northerners black using cow or anything but you can't succeed |

At this rate, the horses on our coat of arms should be replaced by cows since cows are now our official animals and part of our national heritage....moreover, we are ruled by cows. 1 Like |

So much hullabaloo about cows now in Nigeria. Everyone wants to talk about cows and criminalize the animal itself. Not the crime committed by humans. No! The cow is now the dog with a bad name. Just like fable LA Fontaine in the poem " the donkey with relics". But in this case, the cow is with the opposite of relics whatever English word that would be |

Open Grazing Ban Critics Have Hidden Agenda — Gov. Ortom Cattle rearing is a private business-Nigeria is not even in the top 15 nations with the highest amount of cattle in the world,so why the fuse, 6 years now !All I hear is cattle !Cow ! Ruga this ,killing now ,give us your land now ,or you die for a personal business ,na wah ooo now! I see why the Benue state governor laments of a hidden agenda. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State on Thursday said any Nigerian opposed to Southern governors’ decision banning open grazing of cattle has a hidden agenda. Ortom made this known when he spoke at the Holy Ghost Parish Hall, Makurdi, on the occasion of the Media Week and Communications Day 2021, organised by Catholic Diocese of Makurdi. He hailed his counterparts in the Southern states for the bold step and for towing a path that would address insecurity in Nigeria, even as he insisted that open grazing was no longer fashionable in the country due to development and population growth. He also explained that Nigeria is a country with great potentials, which, ordinarily, should not be wallowing in poverty, if security for lives and property in the country were guaranteed. He added that if the people were allowed to stabilise in their localities to explore opportunities in farming and other ventures, Nigeria would be a great country. While Governor Ortom expressed appreciation to the Church and Muslims in the state for remaining supportive of his administration, he acknowledged the good reportage of government policies and programmes by the Directorate of Social Communication of the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi and other media groups in the state, adding that his administration would always welcome constructive criticism. The governor further hinted that his administration would soon commence the teaching of indigenous languages in schools during the next academic session. He noted that government would ensure that children were trained and supported to inculcate reading habits in them, even as he described communication as key to development in the society. Earlier, in his remark, the Catholic Bishop, Makurdi Diocese, Most Reverend Wilfred Anagbe, pointed out that social communication was meant to uplift humanity and the society, stressing that it is a positive aspect of reality of life. Also while Bishop Anagbe advocated teaching of history and indigenous language in primary and secondary schools in the state, he stated that language defines a man and so should not be allowed to go into extinction.
