I will definitely do that. What these riders don't understand is that there's a negative ripple effect when they continuously rate a driver low.

The more negative ratings you give, the higher the chances of the driver getting blocked.

The more drivers that are blocked, the lower the driver to rider ratio.

The lower the driver to rider ratio, the higher the pick up time and surge.

The more the surge and pick up time, the more they wait to get picked by a driver and the higher their fare amount.

The higher the pick up time and fare price, the more angry they become and rate the driver low again and the cycle continues.

It's a lose lose situation but they don't understand it because they believe they will always get another driver whenever they make a request yet complain each time a trip ends in a surge with higher fare.

If the driver fckup, e suppose collect low rating. Whether surge will happen or not, e suppose collect am. All this one na emotional blackmail.

My own is, don’t rate a driver low out of sentiments or petty reasons. I have not had any reason to rate a driver below 5stars on Uber in a very long time. But you see Bolt, I will do -100 if I see am sef. Mtcheeeew grin

Experience Bolt drivers in the house, how do you break even and make profits because to me, this prices paid by riders are low for a car owner to make profits.

Bolt just launched in Lokoja, Kogi State newly and I said let me even drive my car on the platform and have a feel of it. So I registered and got accepted. I went to the panel beater to do some minor repairs which cost me about 7k. I fueled the car 2k, and I launched my bolt driver app.

For 4 and half hours, I had about 6 riders and I made total 4k, which is not even up to what I spent for the day. That is after buying 1k fuel extra before I got home. Total spent = 10k. Total made= 4k. Balance= - 6k.

To me, this is ridiculously low for a car owner, imagine long trips of 30 minutes and the rider will only be charged 800 naira. Sometimes a rider will call me, and when I get there, they will be 3/4 people waiting for me. Yet bolt will charge a paltry 800 naira for 4 people/seats on this bad Lokoja roads, very terrible roads. I have not even talked about the distance I have to drive from to come pick them up. Who pays for that fuel from my location to riders location?

The most annoying experience yesterday was when I picked 3 riders (1guy, 2 girls) for a short distance and bolt app said 200 naira.... Are you kidding me?.... How much will the 3 of them pay for Okada,? That should 300 naira, nah.. Nah... With my ac blaring, I just told them 400 naira, the guy paid and even gave me a tip only for one of the girls to be saying that but bolt on her phone is saying 200 naira. Blah blah blah

Abeg you guys should give me clues as to maximize profits else, na to park my car jeje...

That has never happened to me for now. Only thing I have noticed is, it takes longer for drivers to come. They rolled out Uber Go on the Island, but it is still the same issue and I never gave it too much thought till I saw the comments here.

Izu is already threatening me that Uber Go would soon run. So maybe it is about time I get a side-guy. cheesy

That's putting it lightly. Should have been "Why would any reasonable person accept any trip at all from shrine?"

Drop off at shrine, good. Pick up from shrine, when they're high and can do anything without conscience? Never.

RIP to the deceased. Some incidences can and should be avoided. He would have been alive if he had commonsense.

Time to service my bad boy... Been noticing black smoke when I start in the morning which clears after a few minutes. I've told them to flush the gaddem engine, and service plugs and the fuel system. Tune the brakes too. Then we continue our 1m quest for the month. cool

I think LCC as abandoned Lekki-Epe expressway. The numbers of potholes on that road is alarming.

Meanwhile anytime I see these Innosson Contraption Connect cars on the road I always laugh and wonder if the trip the driver is currently on will end at #320 grin

Good morning my Oga’s please I’d like to know if 2012 Hyundai Accent is good enough for this job.

And is there’s any disadvantage of converting from manual to automatic as the car came with manual transmission

Thanks in anticipation

Leave it as it is.

I have still not got a wrap around why drivers fully in transport business or ehailing, prefer auto. Offcourse, drivings the length of Lagos 12hrs a day is a big deal. But hey, only manuals are built for that. The rigor, the maintenance, etc. It is whats most suitable for the demanding usage.

Yes, preference, get an auto for preference!

This is why you replied me without thinking. You're not even a full time driver and you don't drive at night. When people who drive full-time and drive at night relate what they do to keep themselves safe, you should shut the fuck_ up.

You mislead with your brain dead postulations.

Fulltime driver with my full chest so? Where did I condemn the dead? Dead or not, picking up from the shrine is not commonsensical. You can argue from here to Jericho out of your own ignorance.

You don't give a rats arse, neither do you have to give in to stupid sentimental thinking because the guy died. What if he hadn't died but sustained injuries, would you still sound like you were dropped on your head as a baby? You're attacking what I said because the guy died. Would you sound less stupid if he lived?

U ain't never lied.
Automatic is good
Manual is better, rugged, slightly cheap to maintain & very cheap to acquire.
My advice to starters, go buy a manual car and start the hustle because chances are high that u recoup Ur capital very quickly.
Also I will remain an advocate for neatly used Nigerian cars Due to my own personal experience.
Bought a Nigerian used car, low mileage (59k) like that of Baz001 grin very neat interior and clean first body, tyres still intact with alloy rims and spare, excellent gear shift.
Above all, it's safe to say am lucky.
U could be lucky also.
