Eye opener indeed.

Interestingly also, without Lagos revenue (contributed by Nigerians from all regions), South-West IGR would be just N142 billion putting it 4th below the North West, North Central and South-South.

Check again.

Stop displaying illiteracy..

Internal generated revenue is a product of taxation in Nigerian setting...
Some states like Anambra thrive on low taxation to encourage investor influx..

If a civil servant state like osun with zero industries have more tax than and industrial and commercial state like Anambra..

Think and stop dis gracing ur lack of education

You are almost right but Yorubas mostly contribute to the IGR of Lagos than others.
Most of the IGR of Lagos come from PAYE

I was going to write this until I saw your post. God bless you mightily.

The IGR from Lagos is contributed by mostly yorubas, no contest.

This is where I have problem with most of our brother from South East. You alway believe your contribution of tax make Lagos what it is.
So sorry, it's not so at all.
Tinubu make Lagos IGR what it is today by creating enabling business environment.
In the near future, Lagos IGR will be x3 of what it is today because of inflow of foreign investment it attract.

When Tinubu was planning LFTZ and Eko Atlantic, little did the like of you know that more prosperous business is coming to Lagos. And the more the business the more the tax.

If your contribution was what make Lagos what it is, how come the total population in the East, which is far more than the whole Easter people living in Lagos, contribution not more than that of Lagos alone. My brother think.

I observed that Buhari's home state, Katsina received or still receiving 130B every month yet the state as a whole is nothing to write home about. Very dry place and most areas in Katsina are prone to desert encroachment not minding its proximity to Niger Republic.

So Rivers State is the strength of South South? Cross Rivers State and Akwa-Ibom should be in Same position with Delta State.

Bayelsa can do better in fish farming as even Norway's economy is currently being survived by fish farming and exportation

We know where the LAGOS State IGR comes from..
Taxes that were collected on all The Goods that Finally find their ways to the Onitsha Main Market.
..
If there is any other main source of IGR for Lagos?? Please let me know..
..
Let there be other ports (and Wharfs) where imported goods are cleared and distributed to the other parts of the country (and successfully bypassing LAGOS)..
The IGR of Lagos will drop drastically and get shared amongst the states that have the Ports (and Wharfs)

South West minus Lagos N142b is still less than North-West's N147 Billion without Abuja and this is despite the insecurity. Lagos's biggest taxpayer is still from the NW (Dangote).

Without Lagos as walking stick, SW only beats the South East and war-torn NE.
