Please fellow nairalander, I am a youth corper serving currently but I will soon be through next year, and there is no white collar job I have hope in to get after the program. I just want that sector of agriculture I can venture in with capital of N200,000.
Land is available around Ile-Ife in Osun State.
At least to get something to sustain myself till I get job or another business idea. Looking forward to contributions from practical farmers sir

You can start with rearing of birds.. since you have a land already..

You can get battery cages or call a carpenter to construct a cage for you.. which will not cost too much

It's lucrative and the birds are ready for sale in 6-7weeks..

My dear, I will advice you consider venturing into storage business. You can buy cheap commodities now and store them.

E.g As at last week of July we bought Egusi for 35k per bag, today it's 45k.
You can imagine what the price would be by December.

Please don't venture into planting or rearing livestocks because they have 50/50 risks involved. You can only risk your money if you are sure of other sources of income.

If you are interested travel down to Benue and buy cheap foodstuffs now and store so you can resale whenever you want and still make your profit.
N.B
Store only non perishable food crops

Farming is a scientific venture, don't use your little capital if you have no financial backup.

1. Trade in egg. Buy from poultry and sell to resellers. A rented shop is not compulsory as you can put them on a borrowed space of someone who is close to you - (preferably family). Etc

Modified:
a. Dont doubt it. I am very aware that table eggs are imported into Osun State from neighboring states. If you doubt me, go to the local markets on the market day anywhere close to you and see the bus loads of egg brought in for sale. Return back in the evening before market closes and see what's left in the bus.

Go and rent cocoa farm, go and check the farm along with good cocoa farmer before you pay ,to tell you the worth of the farm and how good it is!
I assure you! You go get ×2 of your money
Except Palm tree wey dey dere wey go give you oil
Some farm dey get kolanut ,walnut, orange, star apple, pea and many other things
And is easy to manage,as you treat the farm well,as Im go produce

sir you cannot advise someone where not to venture into to change his mindset, as you are not into planting or rearing does not mean people are not cashing out from this ventures, just advice on where is best and not against any. For your information, fulani invasion in the middle belt of benue state has made over 30 percent not to farm resulting in increased cost of farm produce as there are fewer hands to cultivate

Noted thanks, but it was only a personal advice, I wouldn't force anyone to take my advice. Personally I invested in maize farming this year and I know o the risk involved.

There's no limit to stocking, Last month I bought a bag for #35,000 today it is #50,000, and the good thing is that you don't need to stock for a year, you sell off whenever you need money.

You can visit any market close to you and ask for the price of one bag of egusi.

Same thought was running through my head when I was serving at ogun state the year 2019. I ventured into Piggery farming the following year and am grateful to God no regrets.
My only advice to you is that before venturing into any business. please make sure you are trained first because many will like to take advantage of you been a novice in that business.
