This is the right thing to do. Everybody should cool down until Supreme court gives the final judgement to avoid confusion. All legal and and administrative issues should be fully sorted out before states can start taking action in the interest of the VAT paying entities. |

And what is status quo? As of now the judgement of the Federal High Court persists. |

Maintain a status quo that's illegal that's not backed by any law? Under which law is FIRS supposed to collect VAT? The judges just made a fool of themselves them forget say Nyesom Wike self na Lawyer. Nigeria is just a lawless country, how would ik one country with same constitution one federal high court judge will rule another thing, another one in another state will rule another thing. U said they should maintain the status quo but u didn't give them any law backing FIRS to collect VAT una think say everybody be mumu like una |

I foretold that the caterpillars and cankerworms would go to any length to sustain the status quo and here we are! Well, let's see how subsequent events play out! I know the lazy states who are used to collecting free meals in Freetown would be in a jubilant mood right now. |

Ibkhaleel001:Whoever wrote this must be sick both in the head and body. Give an igbo man money he finds a business to do. Give a yoruba man money,he will want to go to school. Give an Hausa man money,he will marry more women just to fulfill the sayings of his desert prophet. The above scenario is just the reality today. The most backward tribe on the surface of the earth is the Northern Nigerian men and women. A visit will convince u. |

For FIRS to quickly wrote national assembly to give legal back through the back door,it has given credence to judgment of high court, in fact , it would be difficult for any higher court to overtune it. |

Ibkhaleel001:I clicked like. I am the second like on your posting. It is quite unusual. I hardly click like. I only read few words and clicked like. Do you know why? I like your courage and intellect. You are very useful to the South. You will lead the struggle for AREWA republic to free the North from insult and exploitation by the South. We need you to free Nigeria from backwardness . Biafra needs you. Oduduwa Republic needs you. The summation of all your WRITEUP is that the SOUTH can go. The South East Biafra can go. Oduduwa Republic can go, while Niger Delta can have their oil republic. With all this WRITEUP, why is the North being threatened by secession and restructuring struggles of the South ? You said oil contributes about 10% GDP. You also enumerated future economy players to favour North. I don't blame you. You mentioned about the protection of your investment in the South. Why can't North declare AREWA republic with her Fulani brothers across West Africa ? The Court cannot resolve the VAT battle. National Assembly would not be allowed to put VAT in exclusive list. The restructuring battle continues. Watch out. |

One of the things the FG may also use to corner the states is the issue of autonomy for local govt and state judiciary and legislature which PMB signed an executive order some times ago in line with the constitution. The state govt must also be ready for this if they want VAT badly. |

With the latest awakening from the south am sure every quota system failures from the north including your governors who depends on southern money to sponsor bandits and terrorists will be jittery at the moment, this is just the beginning, don't give yourself heart failure wait for the next thing that will happen. |
