Ibkhaleel001:So the North has some of the most powerful governors, senators, federal appointees, politicians both serving & retired in Nigeria? What makes a governor or a Senator or a Federal appointee or politician powerful ? All what you have written so far is nonsense. This is why the South will go. You are an ingrate .You can never change. OBJ did not know you people. I know increment of Derivation to 13% and abolition of Onshore and offshore dichotomy can only be possible under OBJ. All these falsehood and manipulation just because of VAT? |

RodgersAkpafu:Honestly I see his write up as a Sarcasm, you should have ignored him. His paymasters were all afraid of splitting the country . He should first ask them the reason behind one Nigeria by force. All what he stated were false information, visit the MDAs Notherners/Foolanis dominates the offices. With This VAT issue I now see more reasons this current evil govt might deliberately want to extend Northerner tenure constitutionally or illegally. |

unbitchable:It pained me so much that after several explanations, several analysis, most of you didn't understand me. Nigeria to an Hausa Fulani man is the North. Nigeria is not a country but Northern Interest. Once you oppose Northern Interest, then, it is assumed you oppose Nigeria. |

From the wall of Akin Omoz-Oarhe: THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF PUBLIC SERVICE REFORMS, RELEASED STATISTICS OF EMPLOYMENTS INTO OUR PUBLIC SERVICE. THE RAW FIGURES PER STATE ARE ALL OVER FACEBOOK. THIS GOT MY ORIENTAL BROTHERS TALKING AGAIN. KNOWING THAT NOT SO MANY LIKE FIGURES, I HAVE TRIED TO TIDY THEM UP FOR EASE OF UNDERSTANDING. (A). EMPLOYMENT INTO THE PUBLIC SERVICE NE with a population of 19.0m has 7,793 NW with a population of 35.8m has 8,806 SE with a population of 16.4m has 16,540 NC with a population of 20.3m has 17,661 SS with a population of 21.0m has 18,038 SW with a population of 27.6m has 19,620 To appreciate this figures, it is necessary to find out how many employees are taken from every 1 million people in each of the geographical zones. The result is: 1st. SE has 1,009 Employees per million 2nd. NC has 970 Employees per million 3rd. SS has 859 Employees per million 4th SW has 711 Employees per million 5th NE has 410 Employees per million 6th NW has 246 Employees per million Here we can see that South Eastern Zone has over 1000 people engaged in the public service of Nigeria in every 1 million Igbo people, whereas only 246 people are engaged in North West! Remember that this is the Zone of the President of Nigeria. Curiously South West, the Zone of the Vice President is the least in Southern Nigeria with the employment of 711 people in a million. It is pertinent to see the trend as regards Political Office holders. Probably, those that lost out in the Public Service, are compensated with Political offices. Let's perform sample surgical operation on the political employees. ( . POLITICAL APPOINTEES We all have the statistics of political appointees of the current Buhari administration. NW has 51political appointees from 7 states NC has 47 political appointees from 6 states NE has 45 political appointees from 6 states SW has 45 political appointees from 6 states SS has 45 political appointees from 6 States SE has 41 political appointees from 5 states These translate to: 1st. SE: 2.50 appointees in a million. 2nd. NE: 2.37 appointees in a million. 3rd. NC: 2.34 appointees in a million. 4th. SS: 2.14 appointees in a million. 5th. SW:1.63 appointees in a million. 6th. NW:1.42 appointees in a million. Alternatively: 1st. SE: has 1 appointee in every 400,000 2nd. NE: has 1 appointee in every 422,000 3rd. NC: has 1 appointee in every 427,000 4th. SS: has 1 appointee in every 467,000 5th. SW: has 1 appointee in every 614,000 6th. NW: has 1 appointee in every 704,000 Once again topping the list of beneficiary is South East with one political appointee for every 400,000 people. As if it is an intentional act, NW, from where the President hails has the least of 1 political appointees for every 704, 000 people while the figure for Osinbajo's Zone is 614,000 and is the least in the South. THIS IS NOT MY DEFINITION OF "MARGINALIZATION" BEING PEDDLED BY THE IGBOS THAT ARE, IN FACT THE BIGGEST BENEFICIARY IN NIGERIA. FIGURES DON'T LIE. What makes me laugh is when i see some Yoruba crying for the Igbos when the latter talk about Marginalization. They should be crying for themselves. Argue with your keyboard |

Ibkhaleel001: . I painstakingly read all the bullshit you typed up there and I've come to conclusion that you are just another noisy northerner trying to overstate your importance. If you are really that confident that you all can do without the south, why are you guys afraid of the referendum. You keep typing trash about how you are accommodating southerners in the north, if you are that confident about it, let the north declare secession and watch the entire south jump in jubilation. You are giving the illusion that the impression the south have about you guys is false whereas, it's the goddamn truth. Economic dominance lies with the south of Nigeria you northerners only seem to have political dominance no thanks to the military dictators that favour you guys and the infighting between Igbos and Yoruba. Any your political dominance is coming is to an end thanks to Democracy that came in 1999. Once again, you feel the north is vibrant. I double-dare you to ask your elite to initiate moves for secession. Your Elite dare not try it. It's their worst nightmare. Even your Sultan, Sanusi has said should Nigeria divide, north will be the poorest region in the world. |

Ibkhaleel001:But your 'inclusive' arewa is the same place barbers cannot give haircut in peace, beer bottles are broken because your 'hospitable' Hausa/Fulani's religion doesn't like it. Is the same region that cheats every other region in promotions and appointments in the public service. Is the region that forced Gbajamiala to turn Muslim overnight before he can get speaker position, the same region that decide which officers get to general in the army or not, the same region that insist all FCT ministers must be Muslim. The region that insist kogi, nasarawa and Niger governors must be Muslim whether they are minority or not. Even yeye stewpid bello was locked out of aso rock by kyari after they heard he allowed church to be built in kogi govt house. The same region that started the slaughtering of visitors right from 1966, so I'm confused young man which region you are talking about I hope I'm chatting with a kid? |

You took your time to analyse the dynamics of the market and yet failed to see the role technology will play in enabling all this sectors grow. If you can skip just this basic fact that itself destroys all your false calculations and it shows explicitly how Nigeria will be in big trouble in the next 100 years following your analysis. If you fail to realize the potential of technology in just the nearest five years time and see how every industry will rely hugely on it, then I'm sorry to say fella, you are way behind the clock. Ibkhaleel001:Lol ! Which is more painful; my supposed 'vituperation" or the fact that you parasitic lots can't deal with the fact that your lazy "yansh" is gradually being exposed ? Sincerely, I understand your pains; the status quo of the lopsided tax sharing formula really suits your parasitic agenda. Some of your Governors are already crying ! Mad o ! Almajiri, sorry to bust your bubbles; the game is up and like I said earlier, the era of robbing Peter to pay Paul is coming to an end. Nobody is abusing anyone here. We are just stating facts as they are. Globally, except in Nigeria,it's a known principles of taxation that revenues generated in a particular locality should be used for the growth and development of such locality. Why do you and your ilks have problem with that ? You prefer Lagos,Rivers Ogun, etc to continue to share their hard earned revenues equally with states like Jigawa, kebbi,Sokoto and the likes with almost nil internally generated revenue, right ? I understand your pains truly but sadly,I can't stop you from crying ! So, continue to cry all over. Perhaps,It will make Wike and Sanwo Olu to rescind their decisions, though that's highly doubtful. Cry me a river, does that sound familiar ! Ha ha ha,ha!!!!!!!! Done with you fool ! |

Ibkhaleel001:The best economist say the market should pick winners and not government. You are trying to pick winners. It doesn't work. Nollywood industry which employs at least 300,000 people would never have been picked by government neither would have been the music industry. The best thing to do is to create the environment that encourages investment in areas of comparative advantage. Low import duties on goods is a start and encouraging Foreign Direct Investment is the other. Low import duties compels countries to focus on good and services they are good at because they if not, they will falter against imported ones. You don't have to be worried about foreign competition if you thrive in manufacturing it. FDI usually flows into areas of the economy you have comparative advantage in. Despite the ban on cement for instance and the massive margins to be made manufacturing it here, foreign cement manufacturers haven't rushed in because the country has no comparative advantage in manufacturing it. If the import ban was lifted, cheap imported cemented would flood the country, adversely affecting the monstrous profit margins locals guys are making. |

I want more people from different perspective to engage in a civil dialogue to share our differing opinions, to see from each other's point of view. We all hold our sentimental views strongly. Instead of being enemies, can we have a real-time discussion to unlearn, learn and relearn from each other...and show empathy to each person's mindset. |
