there are some naija used faultless cars oooo. so my uncle gave me a car to use one time. company gave it to him brand new. he put 120,000 km on it and gave it to me. car was perfect all i had to change in span of 4 months was fuel pump and filter, spark plugs, ignition coil, tie rod. In the US and Europe where most of this tokunbo comes from, every cars will have to pass Vehicle Inspection test once or twice in a year before they could be driven on the road for the following year, In some countries the test is every 6months. This test are so serious and rigorous that the car will have to be put back to factory standard before it can be registered for use again, no room for a single minor code when the car is scanned for faults, all faults must be cleared. there must be a minimum tyre grove in short cars must be perfect physically, mechanically and electrically.
With this in mInd, most tokunbo are always in great shapes and the car you are buying must has passed the test previous year but may have very few repair work to do before shipping out to african countries.

Please dont dare compare Nigeria Used car to the real Tokunbo, they are a world apart. The only thing better than a tokunbo in Nigeria is a brand new car, if you cant afford a new car, please dont compare a tokunbo to Nigeria Used.

Secondly they practice routine maintenance(changing parts according to cars manual before they actually spoil.

And as for durability I will advice you to get her a toyota highlander or toyota sienna 2005 to 2009 , you must add 500k to your 2m to get a clean tokunbo or clean registered car. Toyota always has a second hand value if your wife decide to sell later.

Nigeria has very bad roads, and we dont also have any Vehicle inspection monitoring body that compelled people to do regular routing maintenance, coupled with severe poverty everywhere and Fake parts in very spare stores you entered.
you are now comparing that to countries with near perfect roads, fully functioning regulators and system that works owners to always keep their vehicles in order bi annually or at least annually.
