CJN Orders Disciplinary Action Against Judge Over Criminal Summon On Soludo by Kwanza: 1:58pm On Sep 12, 2021
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, has ordered the Judicial Service Committee (JSC) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) to immediately initiate disciplinary action against the Upper Area Court Judge who issued direct criminal summons against a former governor of the Central Governor of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

The judge, whose name is being withheld, issued the criminal charges against the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State over alleged serial abuse of office and breach of Code of Conduct for public officers when he was the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria between 29 May 2004 – 29 May 2009.

The Upper Area Court had on 23 August 2021 issued a direct criminal summons against Soludo over perjury, corruption and false assets declaration which is completely outside the jurisdiction of the Upper Area Court.

FCT Judicial Service Committee is under the Chairmanship of the Acting Chief Judge, Hon. Hussein Baba Yusuf.

A top source told our correspondent that “from all indications, the Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman National Judicial Council, Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, seems determined to put an end to impunity and misconduct in the Judiciary”.

It would be recalled that Muhammad had met with the chief judges of the FCT, Rivers, Kebbi, Cross River, Jigawa, Anambra and Imo states on Monday 6 September 2021 and directed some of them to admonish the judges in their jurisdictions on the danger of granting ex parte injunctions.

The acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory is expected to submit his findings to the CJN within 21 days.

Soludo's quest to be Anambra governor is divinely approved. That's why every obstacle against him will stumble and fall one after the other. What is remaining is for that criminal Umeoji and his impostor chairman Jude Okeke to be imprisoned by the CJN for misleading the courts that they are APGA representatives. A very big fine will also be slapped on them and the judges who enabled their criminal conducts of buying judgements derobed by the NJC.

Sometimes God works in a way we don’t expect.

I remember we have always had reservations about how this man became CJN but he’s ending up to do all the things other CJN who have been properly nominated never did.

At least he’s beginning to make Judges understand they are not some super humans that are infallible and unquestionable.

Corruption in the Executive might be tolerated.

Corruption in the Legislature can be managed.

But corruption in the Judiciary should never been imagined but it is there.

So, thank you Tanko for trying to redeem the Judiciary.

Maybe there’s really the hand of God on Nigeria after all.

Everything is still a game plan between APC and APGA. They are trying to do Oyetola and Omisore tactics in anambra whoever win between them is a win win for APC and buhari because they are doing colabo.

Too many desperate and deadly politicians in Anambra wants to occupy that seat for their personal aggrandizement.
Soludo is not a politician or a philanthropist but a better administrator with experience and economic strategy to move Anambra to the next level.
He is not perfect but seems better than others
