The north has seen how Buhari has ruled for 8 years and they are afraid to hand over to a southern government cause if they decide to rule the same way as Buhari and promote only the interest of their people, the north will be in big trouble grin

Lol. Is there even one pragmatically intelligent Igbo on nairaland? That is how people are allowed to reap where they have not sown in ala Igbo ba?

Well the rest of the world does not work that way and I must ask if it makes sense to you ethnocentric Igbos that two PDP Igbo decampees to the APC will be handed the APC ticket ahead of more electable Yoruba APC founding fathers like Tinubu, Fashola, Aregbesola and even a two-term Yoruba APC vice President.

Self-delusion is the biggest problem of the Igbo man. It is why you people are the biggest political joke in Nigeria today .
NORTH IS RETAINING THE POWER.
EVEN ISHAQ AKINTOLA WILL NOT WANT POWER TO RETURN TO THE SOUTH

LET’S REMAIN THEIR SLAVE FOR LIFE.

I'm glad no southern APC politician is vying for APC chairmanship position.
Let's see if the north will take both chairmanship and presidential slotcheesy

As for pdp that still want to zone power back to north, they wil recieve the greatest shock of their lives.

The country is tensed and polarized. 2023 is no longer Apc vs pdp issue. It has become south vs core north while middlebelt lean towards south.
Southern politicans have close rank thats why lagos and Rivers re leading the showdown against FG.

Besides Adamu is a nonentity in Apc like yahaya bello, their popularity starts and End in their constituency

Hahahaha First Lagos and Rivers are after money not that they are united.
When you say power should come to the south provided south west will not still hustle for the job that will make the north fear the south.

But the north know that there is division in the south because Tinubu and his gangs want power when zone to the south. Which the south south and south east don't find funny.
So they have decided that instead of them to be cheated by fellow Southern they will give it back to north, fortunately the north east is like the south east since 1999.They have not produce president.

What will cripple the north is if south west, south south and south east agreed the the next president should come from the region in the south that have not produce president since 1999.

But as far as the south west is clamouring for the presidency the north will also do the same.
And the north has 80% chance of winning if it is left the way it is going...PDP northern candidate from north will floor APC southern candidate from the wrong region.

I totally agree with you. If equity doesn't play a roll by giving it to South South/ South East, I will vote Aboki till Nigeria is buried.

APC southern politicians have stayed away from chairmanship position, only northern Apc caucus re vying for it. It is impossible for APC to have both chairman and flagbearer to be from same zone, according to the party constitution
Southern PDP politicians re the only one vying for PDP chairmanship. It literally means pdp have zoned their ticket to north.

Which means the North will unite behind PDP so as to remain in control.

What do you mean by "a fellow Southerner try to play smart against other southern regions"? Is the SW stopping anybody from the south from contesting? What's with all these silly blackmail of the south west?

PDP is very strong in the SE&SS and APC is very strong in the SW. So, why can't the SE push for the presidential ticket of PDP and SW push for the presidential ticket of APC? Are you not aware of the general hatred for APC in the SE? If you are a leader in APC, will you advocate that the ticket of your party be zoned to a region that barely gave 5% of their votes to the party in the last two general elections?

And talking about equity and justice, is it fair for the SE to be clamoring for the SW not to contest for APC presidential ticket when they know the SE stands absolutely no chance of winning the party's ticket? If the SW refuse to vie for APC ticket, is there any other region in the south that can get the ticket from the north? Why can't we all come together and push for PDP to present Peter Obi and APC presents Osinbajo? At the end of the day, we will have an all southern contest. Is that not a better way to go about it?

SE have no serious contenders in PDP and APC as at today and still, you guys are all over the internet blackmailing the SW not to contest. How is that fair and just to you? Explain and make it make sense.

When PDP of igbo and northern extraction voted and produce a Yoruba man as president of Nigeria in 1999 even when he didn't win from his own region how old were you?

So because Tinubu and his South west gang up to betrayal a fellow Southern because of porridge of vice president , you are now classifying igbo as voting only one party.
You must either be wicked and without conscience or you must be very daft.

Alaye if the presidency that is coming to southern Nigerian in 2023 is going to the yoruba,it is better the north continue from where they stop until the ambition of Tinubu dies.

Yes
If apc field a Southerner and pdp field a northerner pdp will certainly loose at least two of their backbone states (Akwa-ibom, Rivers and Delta ) to apc in presidential elections.

"Power must return to South" is just as stupid as "Ibo must produce the next President". What Southerners should pray for is that they do not do wayo with the VAT judgement. Once VAT is fully vested in states nobody will care who the president is or where he comes from. States having full control on VAT will have more impact on our lives than where the president comes from.

Stop insulting hollowly like a loser stuck in the past and entirely accepting of his position as a subjugated 'slave'.

You can remind us of what obtained as much as you want but the vigorous fight some southern leaders are putting up today to achieve subtle and irreversible fiscal and socio-economic autonomy is encouraging.

All Southerners should maintain the momentum and support this drive to shape a more equitable Nigeria.

The only thing constant in life is change. A situation that has obtained for a thousand years may come crashing down in a day because of those brave enough to say "enough is enough".

I’m from Kano and right now won’t mind a southern candidate as long as we can see his work history (not South East).

Stop crying and lamenting, if the presidency is coming to the South, the South East that has not taken their rightful turn in Aso rock since the advent of democracy in 1999 will have it, we cannot have it go to the SW who have ruled for 8 years as President and another 8 years as VP.

If it comes south, it is NOT your turn, and if you cannot allow others in the south to take their rightful turn, I as a Pro-Biafran and so many other southerners WILL PREFER TO VOTE A CAMEL from the core north in protest against your yoruba greed.

You cannot be fighting injustice by enthroning another form of injustice. If you are arguing for fairness and equity, then the South East has the strongest case but then if you decide otherwise then the north can keep it since they have the highest voters on paper. You cannot approbate only when it suit you and reprobate when it doesn't, on the same matter.
